Whats up guys, I started this shortrider auto last week and i wanted to share my progress with you as i go. Set up is a space bucket( here's a thread with pictures of the bucket) https://www.autoflower.org/threads/hello-everyone.50816/, anyway I have 5 23w cfl's with a led strip as side lightning,they are on a 18/6 schedule, hopefully that's enough light although i do plan to LST.Temps are around 83f with the lights on and around 76f with lights off.

A little update on day 9. I think everything's going good. But i would like some feedback from more experienced growers.

I think i am having heat problems as the temps stay around 84 with the lights on and around 75 with lights off. Now if i replace one of the cfls with a led light bulb like this one http://www.homedepot.com/p/Philips-100W-Equivalent-Soft-White-A19-LED-Light-Bulb-455675/205861840 , will it bring down the temps? and most importantly will it be more efficient than the cfl?

I think she's looking great!! I don't think that bulb would do much good but I'm no expert. It might bring the temp down but wouldn't do much else...

have you tried taking one out and not replace with anything? why I say that is because you just need a few degress lower.i don't know your situation or how your bank acct. looks but if your on the low end of funds theirs leds 60w etc for like $30 at your local Wal-Mart. Keep up the good work!

Yes, I took one out and it stays around 83 with the lights on, When the house A/C kicks on it drops to around 80. I am just worried that it might not be enough light, or am i just being paranoid? lol

depends on your financial situation really... ive personally seen auto's grow with light from sitting on a windowsill.

Honestly, i am using this as a learning curve. As soon as i have a couple more grows under my belt i am planning on upgrading to a 3x3 tent with a 400w hps set up and whatnot.

Auto's are pretty easy and Stealthy to grow I don't think you should have any promblems. The trick is to know the "strength and weakness" of this particular species of cannabis and use it to your advantage! Once I stopped working against the species and adapted to it, I saw an improvement in yied. if you need any help or get into a problem throw a msg my way and ill be happy to help..if I don't know 100% for sure or from personal experience id simply tell you I don't know to inquire elsewhere. wish you the best! stay focused, study, be determined (don't give up) when it gets tough! keep at it! it took me 1 year I wanted to quit when it got tough,but didn't and now I'm very happy I did not give up rollover and die! I refused to accept Failure and made it! I'm one of the many that was supposed to fail spent a lot of money, and got trolled a hell of a lot! but I didn't give in or give up! You ca do anything you put your mind too but also have to be willing to put in 120%! 100% is not good enough! I learned that

Looking at the bucket you've made i see you've gotta a few pc fans in there, are some intake and some out take? If possible you might want to flip one around and have another out take and see if that brings your temps down.
I had trouble with temps in my cab and ended up with just having fans for out take and holes for intake.
