hey guys,

on last grow I rean cfl due to price and small box it was 2x3x1.5 small huh.. now I got some money and ordered me a 4x2x5 grow tent and want to use different lighting. I am on a fixed budget and have been looking at t5. I want to be able to hang lights and go with full spectrum. if needed I can use the other cfls I have for extra lighting. I can get some hps used. but would like to keep temps and light bill down. only will be running 1 to 3 plants at once thx

Well....I'm a t5er all the way and have only ever grown that way. It works for the way I grow. Keeps temps nice in the winter a little warm in the summer. But I'm running three t5's. Sooo don't know. If your plants are close to the light, like scrog, then I think it'd work. However, if plants are on the ground, or not near the t5's, then maybe a 600 watt setup with a full spectrum bulb may be the way to go. Someday I may swap out to try something different. Hope that helps. I like the bad boy lights. But you could get a great soltec for about the same price.

I would go led. Topled has some led lights that are great for the price. The reflecter models work great for 2ft deminsions. The 96x3w covers 4.4x2.2ft for like $170 and it ships from us if you live here. Europe they get ya for shipping but free in states.

For a good price, you can do a HPS on Amazon. I just got a 150 watt for $60 with shipping included. Been using small HPS for a long time and they're fine. Nice dank buds and you can get the 150 real close, almost like CFLs, (6 inches)

The 150 is also low heat and can cover 2-3 plants pretty well. You can use the CFLs to supplement

hey nator

cheked out the led looks cool. hows the penetration on it. will be gowing reg vegs in this tent as well

Yes I am and I'm in love with them. I don't pay electricity, or I'd switch to LED. But if money is an issue, that HPS is a good deal

well money is an issue but I got the money for the led now. its just that as a disabled vet I don't have a lot of money each month to pay high elec bills. and where im at no one has had any dealing with the leds.

Check out the reflector series or the mars II at TopLEDgrowlight.com. High electric bill won't be a factor

I hate my landlord and run the heat and air conditioner at the same time when he pisses me off :)
