I'm with faded on this one bro. You've done a hell of a job so far, I'd hate to see you ruin it by choping way to early. I know your excited to get her down, but think of how much better she will be if you keep pushing. You'd be surprised how much weight packs on near the end when she's truly ready!

ok man will def try not to harvest early haha...Yea my colas look nothing like that....I'm going to take a pic in a few hours when my plant is out of dark cycle to compare...most of the hairs are all white...some are turning orange...most of the trics are still clear...but the buds that are on top closest to the light are turning cloudy....

Theres a lot of growth inside the plant that doesnt see much light...these are all fluffy popcorn buds that dont look like they are maturing at all..I didnt cut them out cause I read that trimming autos is bad...so I never really trimmed it at all except for a little bit of lolloping before flowering I did to get some airflow under the canopy..I guess I'll make bho out of the fluffy ones....

Also there are people online that harvest in stages....they take the top colas off when they are ready and then wait a while more to get the rest...anyone ever do this with an auto?

You'll be surprised how much bigger and thicker they get in the last couple weeks.

honestly bro I think you got longer than that.some autos take 100 days. it all depends. but your buds should look like this when almost done. im not tryin to be rude, I just don't want you to harvest early after putting in this much time already. see how theres very few white hairs? and where the hairs come out of are kinda inverted. your buds have plenty of time to get real fat. just don't rush it and yull be fine. peace bro

I started with cfl and yeah your right. your buds wont get as dense but you can get a good amount. in my opinion cfl is the perfect place to start. your plants look awesomely healthy. little while down the road pick up new grow supplies here and there, slowly build up equipment and knowledge. before ya know it you be posting pictures of jungles.lol

Your right, cfl nugs will probably never get that sexy, but they will pack on quite a bit more weight. Heres my current cfl buds... And I'm still giving it at least another week.... Or more..



As for harvesting in stages... totally doable. In fact, I'm considering it myself. My lower buds still appear to have a ways to go.

All in all though, definitely post some more pics, and we can help you judge better.

It's a handy trick.

Or, if your the experimental type, you could harvest in multiple stages of ripeness. That way, you get a good idea of what your strain Is capable of, and exactly where you like it.

Dont ever let anyone tell you that you can't grow nice buds with cfls bro! Lol

That's funny. I'm using that exact same light. 2 of em. One of each spectrum. I have no real complaints, except for the penetration. I highly recommend either trying your hand at some LST, or rocking some side lighting if you run those.
