hi guys just been reading through the forums. GREAT PLACE!

I am just starting to set up my space

1 x 1 x 1.8 budbox

rhino carbon filter with4" fan

will be using biobiz soil & products to start including fish mix

plan on doing three to four autos max at any time maybe even two to start

just researching leds but on the fence which way to go mars or bossled as my funding is low plan on starting my journey by the end of the month until then really appreciate any input and advise while I carry on reading through the forums.

Hey Sime, there is a great Mars hydro section here that you should check out. Somewhere along the posts I gave my 10 cents worth and I do think it's a great choice.

As for the 3-4 max lol that's how I started out. Currently my wife sleeps in the shed with my dog and my whole house is now filled with a great aroma.

Hi there Lanky, and welcome aboard. LED LED LED! I like to make my own using COBs, may that is a route you could take. I can't afford my taste with prefabbed light, so I source my own. It is not a task for the weak at heart, and takes a good bit of self educating, but well worth it. So are you box dimension in feet, meters? If feet, I have a micro cab that is 11"x13" and love it. It's not the most productive, but I can squeeze an oz from 4 bonsai auto in it, and it is FUN! If you have any questions along the way, just ask bud. People here love to help. We care about your garden too!

Dude no Joke. I started with 4 in the above micro cab... My last batch I had 11 plant, 7 strains, and anywhere from 2 says old, to 7 weeks old. It gets crazy.

@BigSm0 I'm getting ready to join the dog, and wife myself. That space I take is prime reality. lol. 6' tall, and horizontally... hell I can fit 5-6 more plants in that space.

I'm not familiar with bossLED but I do have 4 MarsHydros (rebranded Apollo Horticultures from Amazon) and I'm very
happy with them.

I've grown pounds with them in the last 2 years.

It's good to run a couple first time out rather than more just in case you experience any issues...
better to tank two instead of four and it's a learning curve for everyone. All situations have nuances
that are hard to identify due to the numerous differences with each scenario.

It's enough to just get the ball rolling and start learning!

Ease of Amazon!! I bought the first part of my grow equipment from there and was very satisfied with the speed and overall purchase. Buuut eBay has the Mars much cheaper. Do have to wait a little longer but I think it's worth the 30-50$ whatever it comes too. For personal growers money doesn't grow on trees.

Gotta say though when my cheap ass I power 600 did a pre-4th of July firework display they sent me a replacement and told me to keep my old one. A 15$ mogul socket and I had a third light.

I've got a lot of gear from amazon. Ebay might be cheaper, but they will not back you like amazon will. With a prime membership, if you have a defective item you get free rush return shipping, and they simply will send out another item. No need to argue with the vendors and hope the replace the item. $30-50 saving is great, but if it takes 2 weeks to 2 months to replace the light, its a #30-50 insurance policy that pays off the 1st time.

On the other hand we all have a budget we need to stick to, and your right money doesn't grow on trees. Best of luck bud.

Welcome. I too use the Mars Hydro's just the $70.00 models from ebay. They work great and provided me some decent yields... check the grows in my sig to take a look...
