Grow Mediums Hi all this is my first AF grow.

Hi AFN!

I am new to the auto flowers and higher strain seeds. I have always grown bag seeds and after alot of bad luck I decided to switch to a seed bank. I chose Nirvana. I ordered 5 Jock Horrors and 5 Bubblelicious. I started two if each in a DWC 30 Gallon Tote Hydroponic System. They are in 5" netpots and getting 1/2 nutes at week 4 from seed. I am using ROCK nutes for 80% of the grow. I only had so much grow so I am using Dynagrow grow nutes too. The roots are AWESOME!!! I keep my rez temps between 60 and 64 degrees. I am using a 400 watt MH/HPS. I was told not to switch to bloom nutes or the HPS until I see the vertical growth stop. Please tell me is this is true. I am using a 18/6 Cycle.
I am exactly 30 days from the day I started the germination on 9/08/2014

nice strains you got there plants are looking pretty good.
for clearer pics, try photographing plant just before lights on or just after lights off, then we can see your plants more clearly.
keep veg nutes going until stretch has stopped,yes it's true.

Hiya sabre! Welcome to AFN! Great looking setup. Yes it is true to keep on veg nutes until vertical growth stops, even when you see pre flowers!! Best light cycle is 20 on and 4 off for autos. Yield tests have proven this tie and time again. Yes, please do something to take pics in natural light, as we can barely make out your lovely ladies in those photos. If you need anything, let me know! Grow well my friend and karma to you and your grow!

Ok I will add 2 hours to my timer tonight. I can take a few new picks considering the light will be off for a few minutes so I can bump up the time.
I also am a little concerned about room. I can go get new totes if I need the room but the growth has been amazing. How tall and wide do the Jock Horrors and Bubble's get? Thank you for your knowledge.

Holy $hit! That thing is huge. I am gonna have to put them in a 50 Gallon or 2 20's at least in the next couple of weeks!

I do have a question about when to switch bulbs. I know not to switch to bloom nutes until I see the verticle growth stop. Do I do the same with the bulbs? Stay on the MH until I switch to bloom nutes and then switch to the HPS?
