please helppp im dien to try this tried of payin so much to get high lol:peace:

welcome james..

what strand ya going with?!?

lighting.soil sounds good

I went with the general organics go box for nutrients..pretty much everything you'll need nute wise for veg./flowering

I am going 20/4 for veg and probably gonna switch to 18/6 for flowering. I feel you on a bigger yield but at the same time I think a little darkness is good rest and helps with the overall health of the plant.. that's just my opinion.. I am a first timer, so I guess we shall see..I've also heard you can run autos 24/7 whole time so guess that's your call..

Keep us updated and get pics on here when ya can :Sharing One:

Welcome Jb69, before AFn'ers can give you advice, a bit more info is needed on your grow. The more info, the better the advice can be given. Also is your grow driven by budget or no expense spared. Get a ph meter, good soil nutes like Vital Link and sing to 'em daily. And as always, DON'T over water.
Herbies has a good reputation. If it were me I would go 20/4 all the way (if they are Auto's) eP.

thnx here is a little more info i jusT ordered a ph meter and not rEally on a budget and my ordered of seeds from derbies was canceled don't know why so I'm going to order auto flower candy kush from attitude ..
I'm really a newbie any advice even on how much water to how many times to feed it anything 1 step to last i would appreciate i always wanted to try this and i want my first time to come out perfect i don't have the money to be messing up and trying again

just use the happy frog and ph water that should be all you need. if you get AF that are done in 60 days. If you need more nuts just fill the pot with more soil. the soil you have should be all you need since they flower and finish so fast.
if you do give them nutes start out at 1/4 tsp per gal then work your way up.
AF dont like a lot of nutes and if you burn them the yield will go down.
I would just try the dirt first with just water and then work up from there.
dont over water and go light on food and you should do just fine. Hope this helps.

JB, I would recommend starting up a grow journal here and we can help you along as you go. Starting with HF soil will get you up to 3 weeks into the grow before needing any nutrients, so that's not an urgent matter. We have tons of articles and resources on everything from germing the seeds to harvesting and curing. Rest assured that we'll keep you on the right track. I personally run an 18/6 light schedule to save a bit on the power bill and cut down on heat, but you can do 24 hours if you like.

What sort of grow space do you have? Tent, closet, etc.? What about humidity, temperature, airflow and odor control? Growing autos is all about the environment. Give them good conditions and they'll treat you well, give them poor conditions and all the best lighting and nutes in the world won't help.

Also, you mentioned wanting everything to be perfect, but that's unrealistic for a first time grow. Some first timers hit it out of the park, and others struggle a lot. Most are somewhere in the middle. Look at it as going to cannabis school with some nice bud as the diploma at the end. As you gain experience and soak up advice from your fellow AFNers, you'll see your grows get better and better. Enjoy the ride! :smoke:

JB, that is a great post from AndyB. Read it twice and absorb. Yes keep your expectations realistic. You will learn so much from the first grow that you can build onto the next grow. Keep notes for yourself or better a journal here.
Dunno why Herbies let you down, maybe you are in the US?

Good luck pal and keep in touch. Here to help and encourage, eP.

Hey man, welcome! I'm pretty new here too, my grow has improved 100% thanks to the community here. You are in the right place.
I'd agree with everyone here, start a journal-keep it updated. It helps you keep track of things whilst allowing you to get the support you may need. And yeah, don't over water and watch your PH. I lost a few plants down to these things alone.

Karma to your grow,

Peace.

:peace:

thnx so much i will do a journal on here and pictures every week as soon as i get started and yes a closet around 6 x 2.5 im thinking i need around 5 plants would that be enought room or should i invest in a tent ? and is a carbon filter really needed

carbon filter depends on the strain. My Trans Siberians are really low odor and in a basement that only sees me down there so I haven't hooked my up yet. Also, you can check the internet for really good DIY carbon filters. Mine's made from a soup can, old window screen, and activated carbon from the pet store ... you just need to force the air flow through the carbon to remove the smell.
