Hey there bud. I just went through and read the entire thread. I think you are overwatering and it's dampening off and/or just rotting your seed/seedling. It looks too wet to me in every pic I see. After it spouts above soil, take the plastic away. Did you pre-water your pot before planting? If you did I barely mist at all for days unless it's just really dry. That's what I do.

Also, I think you're just over-thinking it all. Which is totally common as a new guy. Hell I still do it sometimes.

So hold off on all the spraying and take that plastic off and forget about it for at least 24 hours.

Agreed once it pops just let it grow. Only thing you can do for a week or two is wait. No misting, no watering

Hey brother.Ya I agree your overwatering them.Noo sweat bro.if they do die(I hope ya have some seeds)I have always used the rule after watering your soil in and checking your PH Prior to planting seed(s) to make sure all is well,take a water bottle cap full of proper PH'ed water n fill the cap every 2-3 days n give it a itty bitty sip..that tap root is pounding all the way down tapping right into that moisture.And just so ya know(This aint it from what I can see)at times seeds will pop open and there will be what I call a skin that the seed can leave from time to time.it can be taken off with a very veery light touch.other than that I think youll be fine.Be good brother and best wishes for a solid recovery man!

If those leaves fall off, is there a chance my plant will still grow before it gets her first set of real leaves?

if it does fall off then its going to have a hard time developing its first set of leaves.

will it survive? who knows. but im hoping so

Right now the leaves are still on, but the back side of them look really brown, but the inside of them are still pretty green, so im thinking if i let the soil dry out she will survive. if not i still have 2 PE seeds and 1 PK left to test out.

You can try maybe fluffing the soil(Minding the small roots ofcourse)no getting too close to sprout.and stick a fan on it directly.Ive done that a time er three with fair results.

I was the exact same as your when i started just a few weeks ago and was given almost exactly the same advice.I spent a good 2-3 days over watering and smothering my jack-47 and she paid the price! however after just letting her get on with it for a while shes bounced right back and looking healthier than ever!

As long as your temps are stable just shut up tent and spend the time you would be fussing reading the forum and sucking up as much information as you can :thumbs:

Check it, it's like your friend's cat or dog. They see it every single day all the time so it grows pretty slow to them.
You see it once a week or so, and even more and when you come back you're like "Oh damn...ok that's what happens."
