My mother in law had one done on Friday and the excruciating pain is gone. She's already up walking a bit...

Best of luck mate, I had 2 already It's a tough surgery & recovery very painful regardless of what others tell you. But you will get through it just fine!

Had mine done last October. Feck me it don't half smart a bit !............It ain't surgery, its carpentry/masonry..........but, every day it gets better......promise. Would a penguin lie to you ?..............Probably !

Give it a few days and you will be saying "Best thing I ever had done" But for those few days, blag as much morphine as you can get off the tight buggers.

Wow! Thank you everyone for the well wishes.

@epenguin doctors say easy surgery and may be able to go back to work in maybe 3 weeks. Overnight hospital stay and go unless they are bullshitting me
