Ive been having an issue with this big girl that looks like a calcium deficiency.. shes been droopy when she shouldnt be.. and more often than she should be.. generally unhappy too often basically.. I never have issues like this.
I checked the plagron silicon additive i was using.. way later than I should have checked it.. to find its NPK was 1.5 - 0 - 1.7
I'm no scientist but from a quick read up i have no idea what the N is doing in there at all and the K looks very high for its intended purpose of delivering the additive to the plant.
I also read that silicon additives generally raise ph.. this one drops it through the floor.. which Plagron told me was normal when I emailed them asking about it.
Conclusion.. adding that silicon has totally fkd my feeds up and that is showing in the plant.. I'll be flushing the soil tomorrow or Monday finishing off with a light feed mixture of base bloom only to try and get her back on track. It's been a looooooong time since I've had to flush a plant.
Shes looking great considering this prolonged poisoning but it has pissed me off no end as im forcing her to work hard and worse than that.. its not the first time I've fkd shit up by not reading NPK figures on a label.. canna cal mag I think it was. Schoolboy error really!
I should have just gone with the Rhino Skin which I've used before with great results. I decided on the Plagron because im using their base and green sensation. Bad call. Rhino Skin NPK.. 0 - 0 - 0.4
I cant say the Plagrons bad.. its just not for me.. which I'd have known had I did the research pre purchase. Not too much money wasted.. more annoyed about overdosing the plant with N an K.. which has possibly locked out any calcium uptake leaving me where I am now.
Anyway.. flush and reset and hopefully she gets life a bit easier after that.
