I'm currently growing my first plant, under a 23 w CFL---It's a photo-sativa that I'm growing 12/12 from seed. The stain is Sannie's Jack Fem, which is just Sannie's particular Jack Herer strain that I think is up to F7 now--although, the fem's are (I think) from and F4 back-crossed to an F3--idk, it's on their website..
Anyway, I'm setting up a little dresser to grow in that is 1' x 2', with a 150 watt HPS, panasonic whisperlite fan(110 cfm, or something like that), and a fanspeed controller. I am planning to grow 1 plant (scrog) in a 10 gal DWC (with a constantly flowing top feed as well). The strain that I am looking at to start it off is Dutch Passion's "Think Different". Either that or DP's "AutoMazar".
I'm going to be reading through this forum like crazy, so I'm sure that most of my questions will be answered that way, but just to get some direct info I thought I'd go ahead and ask:
---How many watts max can I go in this 2 sq. foot space? (I'm thinking of adding a 125 watt Feliz blue CFL to add some more blue to the spectrum)
---Does anyone have experience with these strains? Are they easy to grow?
---How many hours are best for day and night? Does a rest period help, or should I just leave the light on all the time?
I'm stoked to have found this site, and I'm looking for to all the info you've all been so gracious to provide--thanks so much, everybody.
