Lots of good advice here, look around and you will find everything you need to know!
A good start would be to start a grow journal in the "New Growers Forum".
Post all your specs of the grow box etc and then we can start giving you some advice about all your questions!
A tip on seed banks, give us your general location for example - UK.
Then we can advise on some local banks to ensure you get the beans!

wassup justin nice meetin ya.. i use attitude seedbank and the deliver to the USA.. just got some beans in the mail and only took one and a half weeks to get here, but maybe its cuz of the christmas mail rush. For some cheap lighting, cfl is probably one of the cheapest with decent quality.. theres some boys on here that get some rock hard nugs with them. I use a HPS bulb which needs a ballast to work and it ran me about 300 bucks so thats another route u could go..
