Is this considered an RDWC?

You can buy all that stuff and save tones of money. Grommets are like $0.10 a piece...actually went and looked again. By the time u buy the buckets and lids and pipeing n fittings, hose, pump ur looking about 80 bucks im guessing. And that set up has shut off valves and a pretty manifold. I use a siphon sysem for recirculateing instead of pipeing. Its more work and is more of a clusterpuc but it works real well for how I grow cause im constantly moveing plants from 1 res to the next. You would prob only save 30 or 40 bucks if you built that system urself, counting you already had the drillbits and drill n stuff. Then you wouldnl have to fight those grommetts though lol. Not a had price, resonable markup.

in a RDWC, I need a water pump and an air pump, correct? How big of each should I buy? I try looking at the kits for this info but none i see list it. Im considering building a 4 site to see how cheap i can get it. Lemme kno if im wrong here...The pvc tubes are for water flow between sites...so does each site need its own pump or something to push water thru the tube and into the next bucket? and each site is given its own air stone or just one large stone in the main res?
SCROG question.....How much bigger should I make my net? I plan on suspending it from the ceiling of the grow room with some of the adjustable light hangers. Also, when I drop the net, do I lower it enough so the plant is already thru the net, or is the point of the net to keep the plant under it?
a 400 gph punp would work fine, you don't need a big pump. With a 4 site setup you want 4 outlet airpump. Personally, I'd ad a small single outlet airpump for the control bucket. If your building your own, you want to use Uniseals, not grommets, as their designed to pass pipe thru and they don't leak!

No, that's a DWC system, not an RDWC. The R in RDWC means recirculating. In order for it to recirculate it would need a water pump to return the water from the individual buckets to the res, which this system doesn't have. The res would be considered a top off res, which would serve to maintain your system level.
