tl;dr: plants communicated they were under attack by aphids to other plants via their mycorrhizal network and those other plants responded.

So I am waiting for some gibberellic acid and jasmine essential oil (for the methyl jasmonate), and have been considering how I want to go about administering these, especially considering the fact I have 3 plants per 10 gallon tub I'm using, and now this article. It's all so interesting!

experiments are fun:thumbs:
Companion planting has worked for thousands of years now we know sometimes its the fungi who make it work, not us.
