The wife just got a huge settlement from an insurance company, She gave me 5,000$.

Right now I have 3 solar storm 550's. love them.

Im going to do a complete new tent setup, 8x8 tent.

I want about 3000-4000 watts total, I was looking at platinum 1200's, maybe 3 or 4 of those?

I don't want Black Dog, had a huge issue with 2 of there lights, i will never buy again.

Im truly open to anything that's good quality, I don't want anything mars, ive had all of CLW's stuff and I love them, but want to try some other stuff out there.

I really like amare I just like the way they look and that would be my choice . There a vendor here on AFN.. building a led lamp would be very cool also. But 5 grand I's a bunch of money!

How much grow space? I could make a big Graceland for 5 grand! :headbang:

Wow sounds like you got some choices I use led for side lighting and run a 1000watt de mh/hps ,passive air intake from outside right over the fan cooled lamp I guess what I'm saying but as usual heavy medicated is the customizing possibilities are pretty good when you have money to spend,co2,inline fans ,bad ass lights, you name it it's out there every day more choices,I would check grow reports on equipment and customer satisfaction reviews alot of low quality stuff being sold for top dollar but at the same time if you're savvy there's some super cheap grow equipment that works great good luck bro with your choices.

Amare lighting makes some killer looking products, defiantly one of my top choices.

I have a fully unfinished basement, about 1500 SQFT. That being said i want to keep it in a tent, i thought about the doing whole basement. but in all fairness my license only me allows me 20 plants or clones at one time.

So I'm thinking at 8x8, 10x10, maybe even a 12x12, at least 6.5 feet tall.

5 Amare se 450's or a bunch of pro3 and or pro4's, possibly some pro 900's.
You should check out Amare's white light. They are in the vendors section...

edit... I see your on the right path. Study before you buy. Efficiency, light spectrum, par, cri... Amare has it figured out. :pass:

Edit again ...reread your initial post. 4 se450's would rock in an 8x8, those pro9's are too strong for a tent unless it's 10 feet tall.

Sounds like your getting serious and Serious people buy cobs. Watt for watt they beat hps and that's not a claim it's real proven facts. Stay away from all the bs lies that clutter our lighting industry. If you study long enough you'll see that this is all true.

If you make it past all the nonsense you should then be completely interested in cob tech. With cobs you have a lot of choices and while no company that sells Cree or citizen cobs and good drivers is doing anything wrong you still have to narrow it down again. Plain cobs in a panel will work great but Amare has gone a few steps further. The monochrome LEDs are in these panels only after years of R&D. It's more expensive and really a pain in the ass to create but like a lot of parts in the light his goal was making the best. You can take the 168 watts of LEDs and veg your plants up to day 40. Then flip on the cobs which are absolutely amazing. Once you hit the last weeks of flower have the option to plug in the second plug for the uv. These plants below are tiny day 9 but I can show you 1.5gpw grows and also 6 foot autos I have pulled from them. I now have 5 Amares and are running out of room or id buy more.
