I'm getting ready to start autoflowers i know they are different then photos.I was wondering what dirt do you use? What nutrients? water cycle? light cycle? I have 400w MH and 400w HPS. Only those that have actually grew autos. Thank you.<br/>
OK. This is a photo plant that was kept in small plastic cup and recently transplanted to big buckets. I think they got too much nutes from soil after transplant .I usedWell depends on if you want organic or chem..or a kinda cross between the two.So a soiless or sterile mix is often best starting out unless yer more involved with your health and quality with a about a cup of Dolomite powder lime(liming agent) to help buffer your PH and stay normal thru the grow. but you can also get organic style bags that are pre treated with little bit of lime n other stuff that'll lend to a more organic grow.
And nutes are either a basic cheap canna feeding package such as fox farm, grow tek, botanicare, algoflash n so on.Id recommend organic teas, soup organic feeds, Liquid karma and/or B2 plant starter or big bloom for a starter feed and light veg feed.then decide on your nutes from there.cheaper or a little better.your call.many out there that'll do well for you.sounds like ya got a decent light too.some fans n air or ducting if ya have a ram air hood system.which is often best in smaller spaces with High intensity Discharge/Display Lights.or large ones.
Ive found 18/6 cycle is often easiest for ppl to get used to and used to what autos do.
Ive grown plenty of Photos and Autos and still am.your welcome to PM me if you need an opinion on anything.I seem to be full of those LOL! just playin.Welcome Makayla(nice name btw Ive know a cpl) and enjoy your stay..its a great place.Have a grand evening Makayla.![]()
I was looking at cream of crop cash crop and think different. I have never herd of rice husks in soil?Hi there Makayla, I've done around ten grows of Russian Rocket Fuel, and up to my last grow I used Gold Label special-mix, and Gold Label nutritions (Soil A, Soil B, Ultra PK and Ultra Mg). My first runs we're in mini glass grow houses, using only sun light. After that I added some CFLs to aid the sun. Last two completed grows were in my new cabinet for which I have acquired a 300W LED light.
For my last grow I have switched to a simple coco/rice husk setup, dripping to waste. The results have blown my mind so far, in comparison to my soil efforts. I will cut my first grow in coco in a week from now, sadly slightly ahead of schedule, since I'll be leaving for a two week holiday. Planned either my grow or my holiday badly : )
What strain/s are you looking to grow?
1-2 weeks ago they were replanted. They light is pretty close. I told hubby hes suppost to lower it down a little every day. But thats when he was doing it. He also works at least 10hrs a day. Just recently I aggreed that I wanted to become really good at doing it so I am now taking it over to do it so it gets done right. Im thinking about just putting those outdoors and letting nature finish them and start with some autoflowers. Do you know about those? Would you help me with them?Well thats a bit of an undertaking there.how long ago did you re pot them??You have one of two options as I see it.one is replant with a proper worked(lime added to a NON Fax farm ffof soil)soil.Fox farm has been having issues for quite awhile now actually.Low PH across the board and they have foods that can run slightly hot but not to do that to your Photo.you cup was depleted of everything and the PH dove down and started self feeding cuz it had little to nothing to munch n grow on..just stay alive.its a weed after all.Which leads me to my next point.Im willing to walk ytou through it but it aint gonna be an easy fix.its doable..totally.but it'll involve, new soil,Lime a clean pot like ya have it in cleaned out.A pair of trimmer and a few natural Tea ingredients to brew a living compost tea.thats your safest bet outta this.nutes will be WAY too sensetive imo to be playing around with when its this bad.so how long ago did ya re pot em? and the root ball was the size of a 12-16 ounce party cup?
If the natural foods had anything to do with pushing it a little further on,was the fact it had no food and it was improper balanced foods with the wrong soil PH and your plant took a major nose dive..you'd have to dig it up carefully.Maintain the original root mass as best you can(using same small cup with holes n put it back to not lose soil/food) and soak it in a solution of water and B2 is prolly the easiest ( for a quick start to fix)atm with proper PH'd water thats filtered and chlorine free and hopefully chloramine free as well. then you mix a small bit of hydrated lime with a gallon er two of water and blend a cpl pretty inexpecsive things with your soil and re pot using the newly made soil with the lime and Tea mix with some cal mag..very light solutions I might add.its involved. ya up for it?you could essentially re pot it as it n treat it..but even doing it as I suggest will still be airy buds and it will prolly be FIRE(as in terrible harsh)on your throat.Oil would be fine prolly.but thats bout it.unless ya water cured it possibly.and left to fix itself,it'll spin out n be a long mass of pistils all freaked out with trics n meds yes.but very very inferior type of meds.
I think thats most of it..LOL! got a bit of a headache atm..hope yer good.
Well thats what id do anywho..LOL!!but Im really high LOL!
How close are your lights if i may ask? fans moving air I assume?
I thought miracle grow is bad? They are starting to get knats which I think might be fungus knats. Im thinking of putting those outside and starting autoflowers. Im looking for potentcy and high yield. What strain? And how would u suggest I do autos?Well the fact that your light is an HID(even at 400W HPS or MH...HPS burns a lil hotter I think too) but it'll scorch your plant EASy as easy gets if its too close even with a hurricane blowing on it..Pull back your light..CFL n T-5 are (as a general rule) you can slam down close to em as they get older..So maintain atleast a 14 inch distance(or more till it stops crisping yer leaves) with good airflow or stick em out side n stick em in better soil..new decent soil with a proper feeding will take ya far.especially if you dont have a lotta pests goin on..out doors is yer best bet with a repotting with some Micacle grow organic(orange stripe) no time release nutes.. or similar product..no ffof and repot in that soil and light feed like a B2 or a natural compost tea(s) and you'll better in a week er so.prolly sooner.if ya do it today..3-5 days major improvement..So dig up the root ball as close to a 2 gallon pot as ya can..stick in a 5 gallon pot with proper soil and water in in and 36 hour or even 24 hours later hit em with a light ACT(aerated compost tea).
So dig her up..repot with better soil and a light feed and watch yer light distance..with any light there is a fine dance with distance..only lower it in smallll doses untill you notice small heat stresses or light stress and well crispy hott burned leaves..PH and heat/light issue is what it seems to me..so cool water repot, n treat..easy..
And rice husks if amended or left to blend for a cpl weeks prior to using said soil will provide natural vitamins, enzymes and carbs and EVER so mild sugars as well.soo yup..not a bad thing if yer styin a lil more organic.
outdoors is a great choice..repot repot repot in a different soil..promise ya..do it..ffof is going to give you headache after headache..ask around you'll see.go buy a 5 dollor bag of country soil at Ace hardware or similar n use that if yer strapped fer a few bucks..add perlite no time released nutes.and come over to my 100% organic thread and id be happy to slap a recipe together for you once your repottin is done..we'll get ya squared away piece of cake..hope yer day is good!!
