Grow Mediums James' first grow - DP Autoglueberry with autopots

Bit of a tricky one this as you're not supposed to top water this close to harvest.

Have u any beny bacteria in form of granules? mammoth p is a popular version currently, Id be top dressing with that and just a bit of water to get it damp so the microbe life can thrive, should raise ph and correct things in the substrate.

Oops! I been top feeding Recharge about weekly. Did not know that was not ideal. Good info jay.

Guess the bennies are saving my ass!

Right guys,

I have got big problems, got a proper pH soil tester and my Coco is reading pH 3.7-4.0. I need some guidance on getting this fixed. Can someone please give some corrective guidance on how I get my pH back up.

PLEASE HELP ME QUICKLY GUYS

The PH meter I was using was out.

How deep is that pH probe measuring? That might not really be an accurate pH reading if you're just measuring the top layer of coco... With the bottom feeding of the Autopots the salt buildup occurs in the top 1-2" of the soil, which is also why you're not supposed to do any top feeding... I'd be surprised if it was actually that low unless you've been pH'ing your feeds way down?

They look healthy overall got some monsters on ya hands for sure using advanced I wouldn't worry about ph like hans stated that reading might not be accurate due to being bottom fed I'd just keep a eye on em and not overthink it

Hi Hans, toasty, Izzy and anyone else I may have left by mistake

Thanks for the advice it is about 5" long the probe. I tried the run off from the bottom of the autopot and the PH was around 5.6 so not bad.

Waira of all people suggested a flush until the run off was the same as what I was putting in around 6.2. My cheaper PH meter was reading 5.8 but was really 5.4, this new one is a top line and been claibrated with PH4 and PH7. I checked the PPM of the run off and was pretty high EC but apart from the dying leaves the buds look great. I saw the advice months ago, purchase a good PH meter or you can ruin a grow. Not quite to that extent but worrying.

It was so much work untying the plants moving them out, putting them in containers. They really are to big and I really struggled. I am not sure the GF was to happy with me being four hours with the other girls

I wonder why the PH of my substrate was so low? I need to identify what has caused this and take preventative steps to stop it happening again.

I have noticed some brown hairs now appearing on the flowers tonight. I hope I dont get any more issues arising

Peace

Hi guys,

I think the low PH problem is okay now. Took Waira's advice and poured 6.2 PH water through until run off was the same as what was going in through the top. Coir is now around 5.8. Hans advice was also good as I checked the run off and it was right.

Everything seems good now and hairs are starting to turn in and plump out.

Update day 76

They have been on the overdrive for about one week now, the smell coming from the plants is just devine. I do wonder if they are both Glueberry OG as they are so different, the structure, flower formations everything.

I hope everyone is good, I have been very busy with work and other stuff.

I have noticed some aroma escaping with my filtered air and my filter was brand new this run, not very happy about this tbh.

Anyone want to hazard a guess what type of yield i may get? Buds seem dense.
