Grow Mediums James' first grow - DP Autoglueberry with autopots

Evening Gents,

The cal mag i am using is plant magic. The more experienced guys will be able to tell you if it is any different to the advanced nutrients line cal mag.

Thanks again guys for the comments and the new people along for the grow.

As for the slight tip burn on one of the plants, should i take any precautions if so what?

Also what is recharge and should i consider it?

Regards

Wow, I just "googled" it. Plant Magic's Magne-Cal+ has 8% total nitrogen (7% Nitric Nitrogen & 1% Ammoniacal Nitrogen) -- that's about twice the amount of AN's Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra. And I thought I might be getting some Nitrogen toxicity from AN, but you seem to be doing fine. Go figure. Sorry I can't give any advice on tip burn or Recharge --- I'm still a total noob.

Slight tip burn, as long as it doesn't get worse, is just a sign that you are right on the edge of its nutrient needs. This is a good place to be but if it gets worse you might want to back off your grow nutrients.

Recharge as described on their website is as follows:
Recharge is an Organic Superpack that uses colonies of living soil bacteria and fungi to increase plant available nutrition. Expect a noticeable pop and jump in plant vigor within 48 hours. Guaranteed!

Recharge is a Bio-Fertilizer and can be used in BOTH ORGANIC & CHEMICAL PRODUCTION to make any fertilization program more efficient and much more effective. Most growers can dial their nutrient program back by about 25% while growing stronger plants with better quality & yields. It sounds too good to be true, but Recharge definitely grows amazing roots for huge fruits.

What separates Recharge from the pack is the specific strains of nitrogen loaded bacteria and beneficial fungi that decompose locked up organic materials and deliver them as a usable nitrogen food source for the plant to take as needed. We formulate with organic ingredients and are proud to offer a complete package including: Mycorrhizae, trichoderma, bacillus, molasses, humic, fulvic, and amino acids.

Here is the label for their product.

So basically it's an instant compost tea, just add a 1/2 teaspoon of this powder to a gallon of water. Several growers here swear by it and I have been top feeding it to the girls every three days and using it as a foliar. The beneficial bacteria eat your the nitrogen and hold it in the root zone until they need it. If you ever get any don't even try bubbling it after mixing it with water. I had one gallon of it in the bottom of a five gallon bucket with an air stone bubbling. Within five minutes the bucket was overflowing with foam. Just shows how active and alive thier bacteria is.

Update day 28

The plants are really starting to go up and out.

I have been tucking the leaves in to expose the bud sites.

Feed is 1.5 sensi, 1.75m/l cal/mag, 0.20m/l root stimulator, 0.50m/l silicate, 1m/l-10l drip clean. PH'd to 5.8 before put it in the Res. 17 litres mixed and ready.

Water was 400ppm before anything this time, just started doing for a few days.

Light was wandering to around 20" as the plants grow but just heightened it to 25" as this bulb is really powerful.

Yo John,

Thanks for the slap.

Your BBK is really nice, smooth and progressive, and you can definitely taste the blackberry undertones

I can't wait to sample the other girl when you finally get round to it after Dublin

Hi Strakey,

I have been tucking some of the large fans, i have researched some LST but with This being my first grow i don't want to make any mistakes until i can read the plants. This site is amazing, the members have helped me to this stage along with @john0108 who introduced me to the forum[emoji5]️

LST is among the easiest of your tools to use. Get some plant tie material and gently spread those side colas out from the center. This will open up the center of the plant and allow more colas to develope from the branches in the center being smothered. If the main cola starts to get much taller than the outer colas, you can gently bend it over and tie it down until the side colas catch up. Just be gentle and tie loosely and you will be fine. Once you realize how quickly the plant recovers from these gentle manipulations you will get braver about doing it.

I would heed Hemi's wisdom here, and you will thank yourself for it later.
