Awesome! What will you do with the cacti at harvest?

Well they are so small I don't know when they will actually be ready to harvest, I will just keep growing them. The peyote that is, I've had them over a year from when they were the size of pencil eraser but it will be some time before they are mature. I don't know about the torches, they grow way faster. I honestly know nothing about the nature of them, I need to look into it more. I have some friends interested in the psychedelic properties but I need to research more about harvesting etc.
These are legal to grow in Canada too, but not to consume :face::rofl:

I imagine there are some particulars when it comes to individual states, but it's pretty much legal (or at least, rarely prosecuted) to grow opium poppy. As long as you don't get caught milking the pods, you get left alone. Also, growing an acre might be a bit suspicious, but like I said in general its ignored. At least around here

YaY!

I was too tired to post these up the other night, but some of you folks were talking about mescaline cacti, here’s my collection. Big one went through some rough patches and is now upstairs basking in the sun. I also mixed up if it’s a Bolivian or Peruvian Torch.
Got a whack of peyote too, this one in the second picture made babies I can remove and root soon.
Last is two I took cuttings from, and they are rooting, you can see one beside it.
I don’t do psychedelics I’m just growing these because I like interesting plants.

Back in the early 70s I met some Miwok California Indians in a bar and befriended them (I thought). We had drinks together on several occasions in the bar and one night they invited me to go to the sacred site by the lake for a traditional spirit meeting. I thought it was really cool. They had a sweat lodge and gave me a big dose of peyote. It made me so sick for the first half hour I thought they poisoned me. I meet my spirit god a "Silver Woolf". I hallucinated a lot of stuff. The next morning I woke up facing the rising sun with my head stuck in the crotch of a tree and my feet just barely touching the ground. I could not get myself out of the tree. What seemed like hours passed when a park ranger pulled up (he was indian); He helped me get out of the tree. He told me he checked the area on a regular basis for stupid white people that the indians had fun with. He warned me not to go back to the bar as they would be a lot less friendly in the future. I never went back. I also never took peyote again either.

I hate my current seedling/breeding light so much I've just bought myself a birthday prezzie!
