It was just misunderstanding.... This is not EU only everyone who can grow our beans is welcome to join Seedstockers Battle, only problem is, that we cannot ship to the USA only. But Canada and other countries are ok

In all seriousness..if you get a photo Team up..with a proposed Start up date..go for it.....Rebel was going to but she has been MIA this year.

Will there be an outdoor battle next year? Can we start early in southern hemisphere to make the most of the sun? We miss the best daylight hours otherwise....be good if we can start in September next year for the 2020 outdoor battle if we run photos

I would like to do a quick runover of the general rules for battles this year.
I feel the rules are too vague and need to be more explicit in certain areas.

These are the current rules. In the spoiler tags are how I think they should be written in order to clarify things.

Rules of Engagement for Growbattles 2019

The first two legs of the Growbattles will be Open to All Challengers.

Sponsored Growbattles..where the Vendor provides the product will require a 50 post count to be considered.

Spoiler: Sponsored Grow Battles

Sponsored Grow Battles are where a Breeder provides the seeds for use in the battle. In order to apply for Sponsor seeds, you must have a minimum of 50 posts. You apply in the relevant Breeders' thread, and can apply for multiple breeders.

The Official [HASHTAG]#growbattles[/HASHTAG] will have 2 legs/entry levels

Spoiler: Battle Format

Battles consist of 2 qualification rounds and a final. Winners of Round 1 will be entered into the final - they do not need to enter round 2. Winners of Round 2 will also qualify for the final. If you enter Round 1 and fail to qualify, you can then enter Round 2 and try again.
Growers may grow however many plants they want but must choose their competition plant at the 30 day mark of the competition.
A Battle code will be released by @Ripper 2 weeks prior to the Battle start date to be included in your germination photo

The first leg will start 1st February 2019 and will be Polled in the first week of May

Spoiler: First Round will start on (DATE) and finish on (DATE)

There is a 2 week germination period prior to the start of each Round - you can start germination at any time during this 2 week period.
Final Germination day is the start date of the Battle.
Your Germination photo must include a card containing:

• Your Forum name
• Date
• The text 'Autoflower.net'
• The Strain &Breeder
• The Battle Name
• The Battle Code provided by @Ripper

Your final Battle photograph must be entered by (date) in order to enter the poll to select the winner(s). Photographs entered after this date will be invalid and not entered into the poll.
Final pictures will include the full pot and plant. On the pot will be a 3x5 card or piece of paper with the growers name finish date and a specialized password that will be given by Ripper just prior to the grower taking final pictures.

I was just looking through the completed battles (cuz I am ) and wanted to point something out.

When a battle is completed, there is almost zero way of finding out who won.
You can see a picture of the winning plant in the poll, but you need to go through the last 10 pages or so of the battle thread to find out the name of the winner(s).
Even at that point, there is no way of finding out of the winner(s) have a journal for their winning plant or even what the breeder/strain is.

I think the FIRST post in a completed battle thread should me modified when the comp winners are decided and have the winning details:
Name of the winner
Winning picture
Breeder
Strain
Environment - grow type and medium
nutrients used
Time for grow completion
Link to the winners' journal (if they have one, which they should)

@Mossy I think this point and the one from my previous post (immediately before this one) should be considered for future grows
