That's rad. I have had several jade rings over the years, it's definitely one of my favorite. There is some jade here, but the good stuff I believe is in Asia. My daughter likes that stuff a lot too, but would rather fish and swim than rockhound. Maybe if I take her to find some gold she will change her mind ha ha the good stuff jumps in my lap I swear.

I always had a fascination for unusual stones. I think it started when I was a pre-teen, and found some rocks that were covered in large green crystals. I later found out the crystal was jade. Ever since then, I would always look for cool looking stones. Spent 20 years living within a few miles of a really weird new-age type store. When my daughter turned 6 or so, she also became interested in interesting stones/crystals. Conveniently enough, this store sold all kinds of cool stuff like that.

That's cool, they are little F16's in the sky. My mom had some type of kites or hawks nest in their old growth fir trees last year, they were the size of your first roughly, maybe a little bigger. Definitely little raptors though, super cool. I stopped in one spot in the middle of blueberry fields, hazelnut orchards, and hop rows and there were 6 hawks all in sight perched looking for food.

That's one I've never seen here in Appalachia. I think the "rarest" raptor I've seen here was a Peregrine Falcon, And that was on the news because it built a nest and laid eggs in front of a news station's tower camera.
