They use them to move bundles of Christmas trees in my neighborhood, practically in the neighborhood. We watched for an hour (wish I stilll had the pics and video) of the chopper going back and forth over a hillside. When they would pick up the load and pull up and over the hill head first into 30mph winds and he would just peg it, you could hear the bird lug down for a split second and then she would chug and let loose full on into it rolling a bit on her side from the sail of trees flapping underneath. You could just feel the power watching from 300 yards. Fookin rad. My mom lives right next to Columbia Helicopters and they run a bunch of Chinook twin rotors and Sikorsky's, mostly for logging and wind turbine assembly, always flying over when I go visit. Cool stuff man, I would do that for a job with a joint flappin and my headset blasting some Authority Zero...

Then just before lunch break...



We use choppers quite a lot over here for mustering cattle on large amounts of land. The pilots don't have a very long life expectancy :shrug:
