People need to stop putting money and notes in the redbox and other DVD rental kiosk sleeve cases when they return them as the kiosk. I get paid a flat rate to do round the clock repairs and trouble shooting as well as refilling for redbox... I am getting calls at 1 am for jammed redbox machines with drunks ready to fight because they didnt get their DVD because it was jammed... I'm spending about 4 hours a day fixing these jams caused by money being put in the redbox cases. I know you think it's nice and cute to give someone some snack money.... but most of the time, it gets jammed in the system, causes me to spend a full tank of gas a night which I dont get reimbursed for and then on top of that I have to log each bill, the DVD it came from and then redbox charges the customer for the repair of the machine... plus redbox gets the money from the DVD case, not me nor the person who rents the movie... I've had to call the cops more than once over people trying to fight me over 5 bucks before but it's not their money. As soon as that cash is in the case and in the redbox... it's the property of redbox, not the person who rents the movie...
I just had to un jam a machine with a hundred dollar bill that was ripped to shreds. What a waste. If you want to pay it forward. Give a 2 dollar bill to the person behind you in line to pay for their dvd rental for the night.
Tl;dr please dont ever put money in a redbox DVD you're returning thinking you're paying it forward. It isn't.
Yeah they can have a spot of tea and enjoy some of my fine, legal herb with me. I won't tell a soul @TheMongol ya I found my way in here, but blasted all, I can't seem to find the exit now.... Guess I'll stay. haven't frozen to death yet.
