Great minds think alike. I picked one of those plastic owls up last night and it's been standing guard all day. So far it doesn't look like any new damage today, and the birds were on the peak of the rook peeking over at me this morning when I was out having a morning toke in the garden.
Also ordered a couple of some brightly colored, "predator eye" balloons that are supposed to help if you hang them around the area. If I owned the place I might look into some sort of greenhouse frame I could cover with chicken wire and then when the hotter parts of the summer come shade cloth, since I'm already looking at shade cloth hanging ideas anyhow. But rental place, so can't go too wild with throwing up structures. Need to win the 500 mil Powerball so I can move back to Colorado, get a place out in the woods somewhere, and setup a proper greenhouse for the veggies as well as some nice Autoflowering cannabis crops.
