There's a whole bunch of people that have the idea that if you sing to a plant - it makes it happy!
Interesting ....
However you never hear of someone punishing their plants for bad behavoir?! Do you!
If that were mine ... Every time i pulled it out for watering .. i'd hit with a cane ... as a punishment, until it pulled its socks up and grew normally like the rest of the flock!
For scientific research! ^_^

I have heard the same
,, some even have speakers in the tent to provide soothing sounds ,, I prefer to take the punishment
than give it out
