Grow Room jcloud's soil auto indoor grow # 1 - 2018

I found this new germination technique from an Amazon reviewer gardener was using to germinate succulent seeds. I figured why not try cannabis. I modified it a little bit instead of regular towels or napkins. I used this dish washing sponge towel material. Inside a petri dish it keeps humidity and still lets air flow through some. I set it on my T5 ballast stays warm. Got a crystal dwarf sprout just broke soil today. Temps are under control now after my russian fuel sprout died. It was my fault not controlling my temps.

Nice thread!

And that sounds like a good germ method. I created one of my own in thought about a double boiler to melt down chocolate. I stole my wife's Hydroflask and grabbed an empty pill bottle I have used to soak seeds before. Filled the HF with 100F or so water from the tap, let it sit for a few minutes to get the stainless liner inside real warm. Dump it out and replace it to the top with 85F tap water (used a dig. baby therm) and put the cap on it. Then, I put the seeds into a half inch deep PH'ed water with a drop of Kelp Help into the pill bottle, put the cap on it. The reason the water level is low in the pill bottle is to ensure it floats. Then I poured off a tiny bit of water from the HF until the pill bottle lid sat just high enough out of the HF (1/8" or so) to easily grab it and pull it out to check. Then I capped the HF and set it in my bucket of water I always keep bubbling and at 78F with a fish tank heater. I'm not sure if placing it in the bucket of water mattered, because the first time I checked them at 6 hours they were all cracked and ready to go into soil. They were in the pitch black and at a very steady warm temp. Autoseeds Hijack BTW.

Got some new grow lights today only because they came with 5 year warranty.
But im grab some more to support my friend. He's giving me some free grow lights.

@archie gemmill hey arch I chose 17/7 to save some money on a electricity. An figure a little less than 18 will promote flowering more soon. I was completely stumped at first, because my plant was growing way too fast. I researched on afn about what to do. It would break my heart to prune during flowering. So I saw a old thread someone suggested. To tie there plant down. Even though so late to Lst. I learned it's never too late for Lst. I love tie down method now. I had 3 new packs of twisty ties just incase. An boy it sure comes in handy. Almost finished a pack. I started tying down all my plants. Thanks to afn the growers here sure know how to manage dealing with autos. I been lacking on the pics lately. Ill try to post more.
