New Grower Just another "Think Different" LED grow in an Oxypot.

here she is.

she's been going about a week now.
I've got a new light above her though.
800w Penetrator (draw around 450w) with Full spectrum inc. UV and IR
Also included a 4" TT Inline with thermostat controller to moderate temps.

  • 50% RH
  • pH 5.8
  • 1.0 EC
  • 26 Celsuis
  • 5ml Roots Excelurator

I'll keep more up to date with this but it's snowing a lot here and the dreaded helicopter has been hovering around here recently, wankers! lol.

Hi guys,

here she is - day 8.
  • pH is sitting at a nice 5.84
  • Room temps increased to 27 Celsius (because I've turned the lights to full power)
  • EC: 1.0
  • RH: 45%

Need a little help guys!!

If you check the middle picture - it looks like I have a deficiency of some kind.
It's not forming on the top leaves at all.. I'm thinking it could be down to me adding nutrients a little late.

if someone could take a look for me? :D

That may just be nutrient splash/burn, do you think you may have done that ? Are you misting / foliar feeding ? If so then water drops could cause burn

Cheers mate.

I was top spraying to encourage initial root growth!

I'll get an update tomorrow, I'm away from my computer today, only on my mobile!

:toke:

I think it's calcium def... The bane of my grow room.

Wouldn't a calcium deficiency show on more than the bottom leaves? The rest of the plant looks really healthy!

Led grown plants require more mag than other light sources. Some strains are more prone to bleaching then others under led's as well. I would make sure you have at least 24" between plant and the light. Also dont spray with the lights on or you can burn them due to refraction.

Cal Def will show on more of it soon if you don't nip it the... Er.. Bud.. & your man Scott up here is correct about not foliar spraying.. Defiantly not when the lights are on man. I'm not sure about the mag he's talking about.. It's calcium uptake that's effected under LEDs..

I have read your thread from the start so I don't know what nute line your using etc.. But I'll have a nose through it now.. :bong:

Ok... In DWC you want your pH at 5.6-5.7 in seedling/veg.. then 5.8-5.9 in flower. I used those ionic nutes on my first DWC grow.. They're no use dude.. Not for DWC anyway.. Get yourself some decent nutrients.. But for now I'd get her on a fresh res at 5.6 pH & 1.2 EC... Try & work her up by .2 EC every week until you reach her ceiling... Ok.

Keep the water level above the base of your net pot.. About an 1" or so & don't let it drop for too long... Although your a few weeks away from your plant drinking enough to drop the level.. Anyway.

I'll sub.. I try to help you along the way.. If you need/want it.

Cheers mate, much appreciated!
I know the ionic ones are pretty crap to be honest but they were given to me so I thought I'd make the most of them!
I'll get a full res change underway tomorrow morning!
Nice one.
