New Grower Just another "Think Different" LED grow in an Oxypot.

Ok,

Since the original set up. I've changed light and nutrients.
Here she is:

  • pH 5.7 (to allow Ca uptake)
  • Temps: 28 Celsius
  • PPM/EC: 2.0
  • Nutes: Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow A+B
  • Additives: 5ml Roots Excelurator

The second set of leaves were showing a deficiency for what I think is Calcium.
Hopefully this should now be corrected as I've done a full system change.

Lights cranked up to 800w Output. Here's hoping!

:D

Cheers mate, much appreciated!
I know the ionic ones are pretty crap to be honest but they were given to me so I thought I'd make the most of them!
I'll get a full res change underway tomorrow morning!
Nice one.
:smokebuds:

what makes you say this ? Is there any real evidence for Ionic nutes not being up to scratch ?

Ionic nutes may be ok with light mix & such but in DWC is not up to the job... It's not strong enough.. & this is the general consensus... + I've used them in DWC &.... Guess what?? They're not up to it..
:bong:

You'll do better with the Sensi A & B pep... :wiz:

I'll second this guys!

If you're watering soil with these, they might be okay. In DWC every few days you're gonna need a res change.
Numerous deficiencies negated my need to state that Ionic are no good for DWC.

My little lady has perked up no end with one change of these new ones.
The guy in the hydro shop recommended a brand called Humboldt. Anyone any experience with these?

It looks like I've got a couple of leaves that look like they are beyond repair.. Damaged from what I think is a Calcium deficiency!
Would you guys recommended me taking them off to help the plant spend more energy with new growth?

I'll get some pictures up tomorrow, I'm on my mobile today! :(

Yeah pep.. When the copper appears that's it!! No getting rid of that spot.. So it depends how bad your cal def/leaves have got.. If its crispy then I'd pull it off... But of its only a spot or two leave them be bro.. Throw a pic or two up..

You should she my girl.. She is covered in it.. It's the LEDs I use... Grr... Check my mazar out in my sig bro.. I updated last night.. She looks good!! But also bad :cuss:

Yes humbolt nutes... I've heard if them... Never used them but yes as far as I know they're good..

K.

here she is..

looking a little tender! I've cropped a couple of the bottom leaves off. still got some nice undergrowth as you can see from the pictures.

I've done a clean sweep and threw out and cleaned out the oxypot and replenished it with new nutes.

AN Sensi are suppose to be "pH perfect" but when i put it at the recommended 4ml/L it seems to make my pH 6.0 or there abouts. anyone have this issue?

I'm sure she'll pull through this!

Hey! Sorry I've not been on for a few days. No internet connection!
I got to the problems of the deficiency..
.. Seems Calcium wasn't the issue but Pythium..
Anyway I've hammered the tank with h2o2 and it seems to be solving the problem.
She's definitely stunted, she's about 2 weeks old now.
I'll get some pictures up tomorrow
