Its sad to know that kids today will not get to experience whats its like to rent a movie from the video store.
i had some good memories with family and friends going to the video store back in the late 80's early 90's. back in the 80s and early 90s watching a movie was a big deal, it was a family event and a night with your friends, now days you can stream any old bullshit instana click
3 movies in 1 night ZERO fucks given

I remember when i got my first nintendo when i was about 6 years old, my father took me to the video store and rented every nintendo game they had in stock for me. Never forget that

Well done dad! RIP, always have a spot in my heart for you

hey man glo and i still rent movies from the video store! There's no more blockbusters or hollywood videos but there is this one chain back in buffalo called Family Video. We just rented a bunch of movies on the cheapy while i was visiting for the holidays. Come to find out, we are the only ones still renting videos! our friends laughed at us when we said we were staying in friday night and watching rentals. we aren't even 30 yet

Long time no see Lykaboss. Good thread. Cheers.

I fell ya bro! But we got red box and it's a hella lot cheaper now.

Me and the miss's put little guerrilla down one night and pulled out the Super Nintendo we still have and had game night. It was awesome. Then played some Mario kart and 007 on the Nintendo 64! What badass games in their time!

Brought back some memories of standing in front of a wall full of new release movies 30 ft long! Haha!

:slap: thanks for the memories bro!!!

Heh heh heh,

Me and the Root66 have gotten back in to playin' Super Nintendo. All the new game systems/games are too fast for me anymore. Give me some Old Fasioned 2-D Super Mario anyday. I guess with the videos, We have never really rented them anyways, so I don't miss out too much.

But there are a lot of other things they will miss out on.

Drive-In movies
Candy Ciggarettes (lol)
Space Invaders game

there are more of course...

But my kids still play board games, that seems to last.

Peace

Man, I'm feelin' this thread. Some things ya should just be able to press 'pause' on! Just 'cause we can change shit don't mean we should -- I still prefer vinyl to CD, still like old school mechanical cars to these plastic techno-wagons around today, still prefer talking to people instead of texting. Only area I say 'bring on the new tech' is in indoor cultivation, LoL!!
