Lighting LED Panel Suggestion/Advice for Secret Jardin DS60

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this topic but if Mod think that it's now feel free to move it... :)

Hello again,

as maybe some of you saw in Introduction thread, topic that i made related to my tent:
https://www.autoflower.org/f35/hello-afn-38208.html

if you are lazy to check it out i will write here my specifications...

Tent: SJ Dark Street II (60x60x150cm)
Ventilation: RVK125E2-L1 Systemair LTI Duct Fan 340m³/h dimmed to noiseless.

i used to grow on HIDz now i'm willing to upgrade my tent with LEDz! :)

Now i would like your suggestion since i'm planning to spend about 400-500 euros on led panel/s.

My needs are just for myself use so i need some really good lights that will grant me nice harvest until next grow...

i was researching forum a little and what i found so far interesting for me to buy:

- 2x e.Shine 3G series panels 150x3w (with custom spectrum but still searching which one will give me top results)
or
- 2x Apollo 8 (custom spectrum)
or even
- 1x e.Shine 5G series panel 320w (factory spectrum since they are possible to custom on few units ordering)

or maybe combinations of some of those like 3G series panel 150x3w + 5G Series with factory spectrum, or combination with Apollo.

As well i'm not sure about lenses. I was thinking to go for 60 degree primary/ 90 degree secondary lenses.

Or maybe some other brand... (related to GN i already w8 for their unit and i cant w8 anymore after six months of waiting since i'm running out of stock) :Hookah:

Any kind of suggestion, feedback or idea is welcome!

Regards,

I'm using a single 180 watt UFO LED light in the same amount of space and it has good coverage. a single 300 watt LED growlight would likely max the amount of light for that size space. Just remember, more watts also always means more heat to deal with.

Thanks on suggestion, can't say anything about ledz but still somehow thinking that is harder to cool HPS... and with my 250W HPS and MH which is heating even more i didnt had any temp problems since i use kinda strong ventilation :) thats why im pointing on 2 panels but the biggest problem for me is that i dont really like idea ordering str8 from china since i have to pay VAT and shipping that is really damn expansive. But if that is the best solution i would do that too... :)

There are resellers of LED grow light5s with warehouses in the UK. Topled ( now MarsHydro ) sticks in the UK:

http://www.mars-hydro.com/

And also Germany and Europe they are stocking a lot of Countries theese days. My first one came from China and dont worry i paid 8,xx euros vat for my ufo my 2nd came from german warehouse. Best is to aks them before You buy if its available in one of the Warehouses so you wont pay vat.

I'm using Vipar LEDs m8, great results considering the small outlay.. my tents just slightly bigger than yours and iv done 4 plants at once in it with a single 300w panel and got about 6 oz dry smoke.. wudn do 4 in there again but that's a different story.. my grows r on here if u click through my name you can see wat kind of results u can get from a £100 Vipar panel.. good luck bro
6 ounces with a 300 watt light dam good

Hi anunnaki, welcome to afn mate :)

I can only speak from the led's I've used so atm that's just Vipar. I've tried squeezing 3 panels into a 75x75x150 and it was just possible but a bit too crowded. Knowing what I know now I'd have bought a 5w Vipar B series 2 x 2 for vegging and added the 4 cluster COB(Sold out atm) for flowering or if you spend a bit more get 2 of the 2 cluster COBs(sold out too) and use them angled at either side for flowering.

I've just got back from sea and ordered a Lighthouse 100 x 50 x 180 and was hoping to order a couple of the new GN units but it looks like I'll be able to get the 2 V series panels in for vegging then add the cob in the middle for flowering until they release them Probably go for the Vipar COB in between the 2 GN units when I have them.

Thanks on feedback Bilbo! I checked out vipar webpage and there they offer only 2 models B2x2 and B2x3 with 3W leds... After i check out on ebay they as well have other models bigger ones on auctions... Now i would like to ask you for that Cluster COB that are sold out if you can send me link to check them out... Thanks

P.S. I gave up from buying 5G series from E.Shinesystem since they offer only 1 year warranty and i saw that some guys on forum had problems with those leds... Vipar so far sound interesting... :)

What im thinking now still is:

- E.Shinesystem 3G series 150x3W with dual lenses 90°/60° (Problem with them is that must be ordered in China and prices for shipping is hella big :( )

- Apollo 8 from Cidly. (Wonders me comparing to 3g series which lenses are they use and that those panel have 30 diodes less)

- TopLED (Mars II) still dont know i heard that they have a lot heating problems... and that they are not so good quality...

-And now came up Vipar related to Vipar i dont know which series show up best and with what i should go... :)

Maybe some further thoughts and ideas :)

Hey bro, you're welcome! I've not got a link atm but here's the bulb layout $_0.JPG and a pic $_14.JPG

Personally I buy one of the newer C- series reflector panels that are up for auction on their fleabay site from £50+ and wait and see what the GN units are like when they come out.

Bilbo mate can You pls Pm me a link with that Lighthouse Tent. Im searching one which is 180 in height sounds perfect for me if the pirce is good.

@medic_grower: you have pretty decent grow tent on http://www.secretjardin.com/ for me they fitted me perfect since i had only 150cm high but you have diferent models that are 175 and 185 cm high :) prices are also affordable...
