At a point in the movie they explain that Garth Hudson had quite the formal musical background and training. He had promised his parents he would never play in a rock band. As such he would charge the band for when they played so he could tell his them he was giving music lessons hahahaha

Our bass player hates that I force them to play this song and sweet Melissa. All the worse b/c my buddy Als (who's house we jam at) his wife loves them both and always comes down to watch us play this one hahahaha .
In all fairness we all just go in a circle each player picks and sings his own song the rest play along.
