Maria's sub-tropical grow adventures

Of course it varies. This year not much, yet, 4-5". some years over 2' by now. Generally though, early winter not much snow as the cold is settling in. By the end of next month usually lots. By the end of winter the snow in the woods where it's wind protected 3 to 5'. The drifts around cabin and trailing towards the riparian woods grow to 16 to 20' before winter calls it quits.

Wah! Intense, very intense. Can barely get my head around that, haha!

Hey there GH! Thanks for the love bombs.
Your pics remind me of my 2024 season 'ganja privacy hedge', hehe.
Help me dig in a few sacks of compost, will ya?! 😆

A week out of the ground, with some pretty terrible weather, here we are.
Unfortunately lost two, not sure if due to bugs, the heavy rain or the winds this week.

There's a little bit of growth, at least the first true leaves are now larger than the cotyledons... things are usually slow at this stage anyway, let alone this weather.

Pairs top and bottom of the same cultivar, left to right:
2 x ACE, Zamaldelica reg
1 x ACE, Auto Malawi x NL5 fem
1 x Scott Family Farms, Pure Love #8 reg
2 x Royal Queen, Auto Amnesia fem

And I still have that other last surviving Haze (MadMac x Tom Hill/Posi) reg as well.

Gives me 4 x photo regs and 3 x auto fems right now.

Was thinking about dropping some more beans to make up for the two lost plants.
But not sure if I want to drop an ACE Auto Malawi x NL5 in this season, but may drop another Pure Love #8. Still thinking about it.

Weather is a bit better now, temps back up to 20C, little to no rain or wind, though still pretty cloudy.
Next week should see some sun and warmer temps, very good.
I figure if I can keep them alive until they have the second or third set of true leaves,
then they will do much better with the plant out to Garden Two.
(Need a new name instead of 'Garden Two'!)
And I'll also need to get those autos out soon, as their timer is already counting,
and it would be best for the photos, two.

Wish us luck and good fortune!

Love and hugs,
~MJS
