Mephisto Genetics Mephisto BF Orders Lost by USPS

This whole thing is frustrating. I've contacted Mephisto, only to be told they sent the package out on the 4th, and to contact the local USPS. The local USPS tells me they don't have the package, don't know where it is and to contact the shipper. Who then tells me to contact the local USPS, again. So I'm getting ran in circles.

All I want to know is, is there a plan B?
If you have a tracking number, then it is solely up to USPS to track down that package.. They can't just say "we don't have it".. And they would not tell you to contact the sender if you have a tracking number. Sounds like the package was last seen in the possession of the post office. It's definitely their job to locate it at this point.

I understand what you are saying Proph. I was paraphrasing the conversation. I took the "we don't have it" to be the local USPS Office, not the entire USPS system. I think what you are describing is part of the claims process? It was mentioned that the package was sent USPS Priority Mail Insured and a claim could be filed 14 days after it was sent out. But I would have to prove the value of the package, and have evidence of insurance on the package (shipping receipt). Hence, the contact the shipper comment.
 
Still waiting those Mephisto Black Friday orders. :shrug:

Meantime, I was able to put in an order with Chef Anna and his White Label seeds (Mephisto crosses). I only bought "The Casserole" with 5 seeds. Seeds are packed randomly with no way of knowing which is which. Still looks like some great strain crosses and will tide me over until???

Not bad shipping. Order was placed 12/21 (Saturday), shipped out 12/23 (Monday) and arrived today 12/26 (Thursday).

It seems like now its time for you to modify this thread not to look like its the fault of mephisto. They did everything right from their part, but this sort of fake news hurts their business. Also i dont think an apology would be too out of place, after all you posted this before even making any proper effort to figure out whos fault this is.. Which in my opinion is quite a thoughtless move
 
Been quite a lot of Mephisto bashing goin on recently which is a stark contrast to all the highly positive stuff Ive been reading before the BF nonsense. @CannaDaTaBiz is absolutely right, the first port of call should be the Vendor but if I'm reading this right the package is in the post so :shrug:
 
Took @Proph 's advice and filed an official claim with the USPS. I guess just asking the mail carrier wasn't good enough. I can send @stan_mephisto the unaltered version, plus the claim number.

My seeds showed up and even got some freebies. No internet connection issues, no usps issues, arrived on time. Just a smooth Black Friday Mephisto transaction with 2 packs of Double Grape. Would like to thank Mephisto and the USPS!

I created this thread because of the lack of communication with Mephisto. I've let them know several times that I never received my orders. Each time was the same response, "Contact your local USPS to see if they can locate your package".

So I guess me asking "unofficially" about my package wasn't good enough. Basically, I was told it didn't look good and to file a claim after 15 days. I again let Stan know, this time with no response back. I even checked the Mephisto website that states," Unfortunately though, delays outside our control may occur, so if you have not had your parcel after 21 days, please get in contact with us using the Contact form and we will try and sort the situation out as soon as we possibly can." I let them know that its been over 21 days, and was given the same "Contact your local USPS to see if they can locate your package".

That was ten days ago. I still haven't heard from Mephisto. In the meantime I filed a "Missing Mail Search Request" I guess to make it officially "Lost". Spent several hours dealing with the USPS only to find out the package was last seen in Denver on 12/4, and I can file a claim after 15 days of shipment. Kinda the exact same thing my mail carrier 'unofficially" told me two weeks ago.
The letter post above is what the USPS sent me in response to the "Missing Mail Search Request".
When I spoke with them over the telephone, I was told the next step would be to file an insurance claim. I declined filing the insurance claim, and the email and letter I was sent shows the USPS closed out my "Missing Mail Search Request" case. I have sent the case number to Mephisto in case they intend to follow up.
