Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Elite members club.. Ideas :)

A4 bro..I think they will ship your direction too mate..:Sharing One:

Well that just made my day a little brighter Duggy! Some of the better, smaller breeders are so difficult to get because they aren't big enough for the large distributors to carry yet.

We are distributed by Seedsman, we could ask other UK ones too, but to be honest we prefered to stick with one and build a better relationship, they are more inclined to work harder then, that's the idea anyway.

But for anyone that comes to us we ship everywhere. Hope that helps.

Cheers, mitch

I have noticed that Herbies are stocking your seeds (I am definitely interested in your genetics!), would they be an official source?

Hi I just explained this to someone via pm.
Herbies, are a big vendor and a great company, however to my knowledge they don't deal directly with companies and breeders, they will pick up stock from seedsman.
So we don't speak to them, but sure it's a trusted source.

If anyone has another big site they buy from where we aren't stocked, if you enquired by email for them to stock us, I'm sure if they get a few requests they would look into stocking us.

It's the same system with a spanish distributor, 3 shops call them up and request a company, and they will endeavour to contact and stock a breeder.

Cheers, mitch

I'm in. After a previous grow I had with a different breeder I swore I would never grow from just one breeder again. After trying the Mephisto strains I've totally changed my mind. I like seeing how the testers are doing, and how Mitch and Tim work. You can see that they just don't put anything out there that doesn't meet their standards. I just recently made my second order and plan on sticking with them.

Hi Mitch, I am a big fan of loyalty programs. I'm notoriously cheep but I pay for Amazon Prime because it offers me a higher level of service and free shipping. You already provide a high level of service with your product. You should make the point that it's free with every order. As far as the branded gear is concerned it's not a big plus to me as I don't want anyone to suspect that I'm buying your seeds. And finally, in my humble opinion, don't bother with promising web content unless you're going to invest adequately in it. Generating good content is either a lot of work or a lot of money. Keep up the great work.

Good thoughts,
As of now, the above are just ideas.
We'd have to speak to our web developer friend, but we will have a blog on the new site so if we are updating that then it's not much extra work to do a little extra.
obviously the idea may not suit everyone but for those not interested then no worries the usual extras and service people get by coming directly to us will still be there.
cheers!

I think youve got a good thing going now, I dont see this as a big money maker and making all your offerings public I think would generate you more money. If the genetics are there, people will buy them, if they arent, offering them to a exclusive group I dont think would help you much. I would keep selling your 'best stuff' via distributors and keep the limited editions as direct purchase only from your website. I think a big part of what people like about your deal is your openness and the obvious quality of your products. I could see you creating a 'testers club' or offering a discount or bonus to loyal/return customers, but charging extra for it I doubt would prove beneficial or you in the long run. You would have to do a cost benefit analysis to see what you come up with tho.

What I would do is select a few good growers to be 'testers', those who you know can produce not just nice plants, but also those who are willing to document and provide you detailed feedback and PICTURES of the plants they are growing. Keep this group small, maybe 5 to 10 individuals. Give those growers free seeds of genetics you would like tested, but dont have space/time to grow out yourself. Also provide them with a special shirt or some bonus for helping you out. Maybe make a restricted forum for them to discuss your products in private and provide feedback to you in a discrete manner. I wouldnt do this on a volunteer basis but select people who you are impressed with that have purchased your products in the past as normal customers. I think this would help you more in the long run. This would be more like an elite, private party type group that some people would obviously want to be in, but not something that you charge them to be in, it would have to be earned through demonstrated skill and sustained willingness to be of value to your company.

Your best advertising agent is your product so a couple thoughts in that. have a monthly " Customer of the month" program where you give a free pack of seeds to a random customer. Word of mouth for things like this are amazing. " Dude! They gave me a free pack of seeds for no reason"!.............lol! Monthly give away "contests" are also a nice tool. Advertise that you'll give free packs of seeds to 2 or three people each month, who register and buy at your site.

For the club idea, you could ad loyalty bonuses too. Club members who spend X amount of dollars (etc ) get extra freebies.
