Mydankstank... i am hoping my stretch is over now. The box of buds thing is funny. Sorta like my old pc cases on a larger scale. Tbh, the cases taught me to maximize my space for sure.
Mr.piggy.... or else this bitch is sinking like the titanic. Lol.
Crushd... thanks for following. Tbh, this grow is 100% a learning experience for me. This is the first time i have ever grown in anything bigger than a pc case. However, maxxing out ur grow space iz a technique in its self. Learning when to flower, container size, ventilation, lights. Its all a science really. Lol. Hoping u.ll be able to learn from my success and not failures.
Shark.... indeed they are.
So lets see here... thought i would mention a few things i dont think i have gone over before...
My nutes... lol. Actually havent used any yet. I dont ph my water whatsoever. Never have. Im not telling a noob to do this, but this is how i have always done it. With thiz grow, i went ahead and pre.ammended some soil. Tbh, there was no "certain" recipe for my soil mixture. I got a big ass trash can. Threw in about four bags of potting soil, perilite, dolymite, vermiculite, blood meal, bone meal... ect. Basically any organic soil ammendments i could find between lowes, home depots, and stines. I prolly have about fifty bucks invested into a 40gallon trashcan full of my soil mixture. I simply mixxed everything in, in moderation. Leaving room to raise th nitrogen levels with organic nutes if need be. So far, i havent had too. I failed to mention, i water once a week. One week, each 2gallon grow bag gets there own 2liter of sparkling water. Cost about ten bucks for 7 of the 2 liters. Thenthe following week, they have received straight tap water outta my shower head. Clones havent received any nutez in their cloned life whatsoever, minus pre mixxed soil i made. So, as mentioned, not something i would recomend for a noob to try, but me reading my plants from the get go is what i beleive has helped me to become the grower i am.
So, now since we are done talking about what these ladies have lived off of their entire lives, lets talk about my new "monster topping" technique. Something i feel that has made this grow what it is...
Monster topping is simple and can be done on a very small scale to start with. Its basically taking a cutting and keeping it in a 16 oz cup its entire veg life. Heres the tricky part, once rooted, they will start to grow extremely fast. Keep them under six inches by way of topping!!! this is imprtant and seriously the key to the supa bushy growth. Keeping em in the 16oz cups control their growth immensely. Keeping the new growth rapidly coming while not letting the plants get out of hand size wise, UNTIL u want to.
So lets see. Summary of technique: keep fresh clones in 16 oz cups for about 7 weeks while constantly cutting back any new shootz that have reached the six inch limit. In a sense, u are basically turning a clone into a bonsai mother very rapidly, without keeping the cuttings, unless u want to. By keeping some of the cuttings taken off the clone, you can easily turn this into a perpetual cycle. When the clone has about 10 "tops" go ahead and throw it in its final flowering pot, give it about a week and a half and flip the lights to 12/12.
Btw, this only works for photo period plants. Nifty lil technique i figured i.d share with ya.ll enjoy!
