Start with one plant, one bucket! Even a conventional DWC bucket. They are much easier than you think! I only check my reservoirs once in 4 days now. I run my res 7-10 days between changes. I don't even care what the PH is at res change. And since using RO water with my Maxigrow, and using Baking soda as PH up ( the nutes lower ph a lot ), I ph to 5.8-6.0 and it stays there all week! The worst thing about DWC? Its boring! LOL! Set it forget it for a week and watch your plants grow!
excuse the pun, but once you get your feet wet, you'll be hooked! I just find it easier than soil. You never have to guess if it needs water or if you gave it too much....lol! :Sharing One:
Update:
What a difference a few days makes! Mini 1.0 is suddenly doing very well again! A lot of growth going on. I moved her to the seedling/clone cab with other small plants. She's growing under my DIY LED growlight. Mini2.0, the clone, is doing quite well also. no roots yet, but by comparing it to the last pic, it has grown...weird! But she is looking very healthy. I topped up both tanks with a little water dipped from the main res in the growroom. No ph adjustments or tests, ppms- unknown, don't care....lol!
Got to say, I'mkeing the Kratky grows. Forgot a pic of the Auto trainwreck thats on the 2 gallon Kratky bucket. She doing well, though recovering from my dribbling PH up on her....lol! I'll get a pic of her tomorrow.
She grew 1 1/2" overnight! I pulled her out and she felt light. I checked the res, and it was down to about 1/4! I added about 14 ounces of fresh solution. PPM's 837 which includes just a little Cal/Mag, maybe 20 ppms. Ph'd it to 5.9. The only time I check ph is when I make a new batch of nutes, no res checks ever.
The cabinet is on a 12/12 schedule, so she should flower soon!
