New Grower My first grow and the products i'm using!

my males usually show first, about 2-3 weeks old, they take a good full week to develop their smell...so about a month for males...
females get odorous around 6 weeks old ,about halfway thru the 12 week lifespan..

Idk what i was thinking but i counted my plants age from the time i planted them in the pots, not from the time they sprouted. So saturday(yesterday) made week 3. Well i'd be pissed if these are males being that i only ordered feminized seeds. ha Weird because i definitely smelled them once i got close to my closest. Like i said before i didn't notice it til someone brought it to my attention. No biggie though it's just slight and i took care of it. I'll probably post more pics tomorrow. The BM is definitely more bushier than the Gnomo but they both look fine to me. Question: I know with photos you wait to put flowering nutes in and change the lights at the first sign of sex. So should i follow the same method? On Nirvana's site a guy from the seedbank said it would be fine to put the flowering tab in as soon as you plant it. The tab is slow release and is said the plant will only use what is needed. If i'm not mistake the tab lasts about 6 weeks.

BM is getting BUSHY. And looks like she's about to flower. Anyone's advice? And also is there anything i should do so that more like will reach the underside of them(especially the BM)? Will raising the lights cause it to stretch? Any helpful advice will be APPRECIATED :)

Bro, those are two supremely happy and healthy babies!:clap: Well done!

These organic tabs are new to me and I think most others on here bro, so I'm not 100% sure what to tell you about when to put the flowering one in. Is there any delay in activation time for the tabs, or do they start their slow release of nutes as soon as they go into the soil? And does your veg tab also last 6 weeks? If so, that's ideal because you want to keep veg nutes going until the vertical growth stops, which is usually around day 35 in my experience. I would say put your flowering tab in sometime in between Day 28 and Day 35. That way, if you're shooting for a 10-11 week harvest, the tab will be able to carry you through til the end. That's just my :2cents: though, like I said I'm not familiar with these new fangled tab gadgets. :D

As far as lights go, it is best to try and keep your node spacing at about 1" for autos. You might have to do some experimenting with raising and lowering your lights to see what will keep your ladies at that node spacing.

Thanks KS! :D
So i guess that's why most people haven't really been saying much. They're not familiar with these tabs. The site actually does not recommend using Soiltabs at all on autos. They also say if you do decide to use a tab, only use about 1/4 of the tab as i did for both plants so that is 1 1/2 weeks of veg nutrients which is gone by now. Site says a full tab for autos is too much sense it lasts 6 weeks. They even say not to use a full Flowertab as well. Half flower tab for autos. From what i've read the plants only take in what they NEED from the tabs. So with that said i'd assume if the plant doesn't need something it won't take it. And i noticed this morning that a few pistols popped out of the BM. So giving her more veg nutrients wouldn't be best or would it? Also the Gnomo ISN'T flowering yet so i'm still waiting on her to pop those pistols. I originally had the light 4 inches above the ladies but i'll move it down to about an inch as you stated to see how things go. Let me know if i wasn't clear on a certain topic. Thanks and i appreciate the feed back! :peace:

From now on when i water the ladies i'll be mixing in some unsulphured molasses as well. See how they react to that.

For some reason i always get tripped up by the simple problems in life but tackle the harder ones with less of a problem. So with that said i have a question. I noticed i was posting the wrong age for my ladies on her. If they sprouted on the 20th of October, today would actually make them 17 days old. So would that be 3 weeks 17 days or 2 weeks 17 days. I feel like i lost my brain lol

i do believe that 3 weeks is 21 days, since a full week is 7 days. me my-self i dont consider it being a plant @ all until it has sprouted from its seed casing. So is what i am saying is that i start my plants life the day that it was brought into this world. Lets say for instance that you have a child right, while the baby is in the mothers womb its not considered to be 1,2,3,4, etc days old, until being born then the counter begins. Your BIRTHDAY didn't start when you were a sperm cell or egg,or growing inside the surrogate, it started the day that you were born! I hope this helps you.

As for the molasses, sure i use it here and there; mostly just during the last 6 weeks of the flowering phase, pretty much to add carbs so that it make my plants calyxs swell up and put on weight. Remember this and remember this always; to much sugar can and usually will turn in to ALCOHOL. With thus being said, alcohol has antiseptic properties; which can/will KILL off microbial organisms, meaning that it can/will fuck up your roots Rhizosphere. So use Molasses respectively my good friend.

Happy Farming!

Maybe i just read too far into things. But i can see it from two different ways. I see 3 weeks 17 days as in the plant is 3 weeks old or that the plant is 17 days old on it's 3rd week sense it can no longer be 2 weeks after 14 days. Maybe i'll just post their age in days lol. But ok thanks for the heads up to go light on the molasses. That type of information is always good to know. Thanks Sticky.

One more thing. Noticed yesterday the pistols started showing on the BM so she's in the flowering stage now. Saw a couple more pop out today but the GNOMO isn't flowering yet so as far as lights what do i do? Should i just wait til the GNOMO is flowering to add the flowering nutes and change the lights or just go ahead and switch to 2700k lights and add the proper nutes for the BM? Thanks in advance!

here's the thing my guy. When you first start seeing pistil growth this doesn't mean that she has stopped vegging growth. They are pre-flowers. On auto's i find that if i start giving them flowering nutes they start flowering like mad, if i use just veg nutes they still grow tall and wide. My opinion for you is that if you want your plants to finish faster give them flowering nutes sooner than later; there is trade offs to everything that we cannabis farmers are doing. In the case of giving them flowering nutes early your going to have a smaller plant so therefore less yield, because the plant will have a lot less budding sites; but like i said a couple sentances ago you will have a faster crop; but remind ur-self this friend, if you do decide to take the fast lane and flower them early you will be able to get more crops done in a season than what you would if you had just vegged them out a little longer. It's pretty much a preference "so many choices". Personally i take the longer road on my gals; I give them Veg nutes till they don't grow vertical anymore.

P.S. I like my women skinny, but I never turn down a FATTY you dig!
