Why wrong spectrum of light? I grew all autos under the hps, just 20/4 hours the photos got started under a 250w cfl until ready for flowing. What do you mean about wrong spectrum? Autos i thought could go all way through under a hps....am i crazy?
Light spectrum for flowers? Light spectrum for auto? Is it different?

Both autos and photos should use blue spec for veg and red spec for flowering.Hps can be used for entire grow. Autos should be on 18/6 or 20/4 for entire grow because flowering isn't triggered by light length,but are trigered by growing time.Photos will grow in veg stage until they recieve 12/12 light period to start the flowering process. So my hps is ok throughout huh? Back to my question, has anyone started an auto under 12/12? I've FINISHED one (kvs) under 12/12 and in my opinion it didn't harm her. I have the option of starting under a cfl but i didn't realise autos needed a spectrum flip like photos...my were cool. I'm only talking 10 days (12/12) while my photos finish.
My last grow I had to go to12/12 after I found out one of my girls was a photo.My autos seemed to finish fine but I still think a longer light cycle is better.
Autos can be grown under 12/12, but that will result in slower grow rate and less yield. I am curious what would be the difference in performance among autos, the same strain and grow conditions, grown from start to finish under 20/4, autos started for 3 weeks under 20/4 and then switched to 12/12, and autos grown 12/12 from the very beginning.
If you look at 1 St post on this page i mention i had a "non auto" kvs (needed twelve twelve to start flowers) i didn't put into flower until my other kvs (perfectly automatic) was done. So she had all the time to veg, once chopped boy was she strong DOUBLE strength of her sister. I'd love to understand what happened. I'd also like to say i didn't like 24/0 as the plant was ill throughout. Yeild wasn't any more than 20/4 so I'll stick to that.
Ok well I'm gonna pop her in under 12/12 once her heads above soil. Its an hps 600w. I'll keep you updated. :thumbup:

I have two KVS that Im doing a compare grow. One is growing in a 1gal hempy bucket. The other one is growing in a 1galOF soil. both were started in the little peat pods then placed into each growing medium. Im using 240watt LED. The nutes I will be using is AN seni grow and seni bloom and budcandy.
I want to see which one grows faster, bigger yield, and taste.
Now the Fun Begins......
