Hi pals, this is my second grow under my belt, had a Lowryder #2 previously that turned out quite poor ( only 9 grams out of 4 ladies) but the experience was great :) Now i have improved my cabinet (actually a cardboard box lol , with a pc fan and two 85 watts cool whites CFL) and my ladies are a month old more or less.
It's a bit crowded in there (12 plants) and i know (biggest mistake) the pots are very small.
Small pots, small yeld, this i'm Learning now:Stones slap:
Here we go:
#1 Ogre that was growing very good, but perhaps due to the high temps (+ 35°) or light burn or rootbound (i really don't know, these are assumptions) it has stopped growth at the beginning of flowering :(
#2 Ogre planted about 2-3 weeks ago that is doing very well (still in the veg phase)
#1 Bubble that is the only plant that is in nice flowering stage lol
# 2 Bubble this is a runt, it's frozen at the beginning of flowering for two weeks almost
# 1-2 grape Muerto are still seedlings
# a big Skunk x Sleestack, regular seed (i think it's male..)
plus two White widows, Seedsman freebies. One nice plant and a runt. one is still vegging and the runt i put to flower with the SSxS

Pics are coming!

Guys can you say what's the problem with the pant in the 3rd pic (Ogre from JD ) ? It's a while that she seems to have stopped growth:cuss: and i don't know how to solve...it was the best plant of the garden! :((

Bey bro, the plant- pic#1 bottom left hand corner looms like she has a major ph issue, the clawing leaves look like nitrogen tox but could also be caused by heat stress. Same pic, plant farthest right top corner looks to be starting to show the same signs as first mentioned plant. Whats your ph in and out bud?

Hi Micro

I've just taken a peek ^_^
I think you have hit the nail on the head in your post, but should maybe point them out.

  • Firstly there are too many plants in there - you'd be better off with 2in that area in bigger pots.
  • It's too hot! - and that's a worry and fire concern in cardboard box (even with cfls)
  • What kind of soil are you using - Autos don't like too many nutes in the soil - better off going for a seedling mix or light soil!
  • Do you have a PH pen and are you measuring it before feeding the girls. In soil, you'd want to swing some where between 6.3-6.5
  • do your pots have good drainage
  • Have you got a good out take fan to get rid of the heat in there (no a pc fan or bathroom fan - a proper 125cfm + would be best)

There's just a few thoughts that might help set things in the right direction

Hope this helps!
All the best

Blue ^_^

Very glad to have been rescued! :)
I water with tap water...no clue on ph. I think i should buy some ph-meter or so now!
Yes, heat is an issue, it's about 30° (86 F) in there with +80% humidity, i need to put a bigger fan there
I'm using compo soil (pre-nuted i think)
My pots have no drainage (actually aren't real pots lol )
For nutes i use what i found in the pet store XD "nutes for bonsai NPK 4-5-6 if i remember correctly)

Now, first thing (i guess) is to flush with ph balanced water - it's water from the dehumidifier/airco good ? - and add proper airflow in order to lower heat.
Thank you both very much!! It hurts to see the babies in this condition :(

No worries micro ^_^

Good Call - I've got one from a maker called "essentials" it was quite cheap ad has done a good job for a long time.

You need a bigger out take fan to pull that hot air out (not one inside to move it about)

That may cause an issue - you never know quite what they're getting if it's pre nuted. (just one more thing to worry about)

I'd put some holes in the bottom - water logged pots will very quickly kill your plant (drowning - no oxygen for roots).

I'd make the heat and PH my priority, and bare in mind the other things for next time (cross our fingers on the soil) - I wouldnt use the air con water - just water from the tap that has been left open to stand to evaporate the chlorine (or to "gas off") for 24 hours

Don't worry too much about the girls, when you have the right kit in place and a few basics under your belt, they kind of grow themselves. Always best not to stress over them too much ^_^

Hi there, I see you use plastic container as pots, I would suggest to tape them with duck-tape because roots don't like light and they need darkness.
35 degrees C is too high, I would also suggest to fix the temperature and check that PH after the heat is gone. Humidity of 80 % is also too high for flowering but the added ventilation should decrease that humidity.
Hope you manage to resolve these problems and have a decent harvest!

dude, you can rock a micro grow!!! A few minor tweeks and you will be spankin the micro monkey!! But first, I would get rid of the cardboard box. That is a definite fire hazard!!! You could hit a few construction sites and ask for their left overs, and build a nice grow box for damn near nothing!!! Best of luck with your grow, and for a few pennies you can get a cheap ph kit from a pet store with everything you need.( ph up & down and the test strips) :peace: and everything everyone else said:)

Thank you all for the advices! Definitely i think i'll buy some cheap ikea cabinet, and add some proper ventilation there. I'm studying from a lot of grow threads here...can't wait to smoke some damn homegrown dank!! :D
