I think this might be the solution all right. I'm also getting spots that look like calcium deficiency on other plants and from the chart it looks like they could both be locked out. I was actually keeping my water at ph 6.5 until recently so this would also coincide with the start of my problems. I didn't realise that it was the soil ph and not the water ph that's most important. Another lesson learned the hard way lol!
Their condition hasn't deteriorated today as far as I can tell. The leaves are still very pale but I'm thinking the buds may have grown a fraction. I uploaded some more pics that I took tonight, in better light. It's amazing how much better they look in photos BTW. They are lime green and have lost most of the fan leaves! The resin that once coated the buds has vanished and the leaves feel a little dry or papery to the touch and definitely don't look healthy! I added epsom salts to the solution I've been foliar feeding with, so with any luck, we should see improvement soon. Thanks again for the help!!
