Lighting Need LED expert's help.

DIY would be great, and would be a really nice learning experience. Ive been tempted myself, but since I haven't soldered anything since I was in 7th grade shop class and I like to rely on a warranty in case anything goes wrong, I decided to go with a high end manufacturer for my space.

I would recommend DIY, a Platinum LED P300 (Not Advanced PLED from Ebay) or if budget is really hindering you, you can grow decent meds with a Mars panel as well (not in my top 5 choices personally, but that's just me - Ive never owned a Mars panel and can't comment from direct experience, only observations).

I run some Amare panels and Im loving them, but they definitely are not cheap (you get what you pay for).

I agree with rock u can get sum good led for cheap just have to research it a lot n make sure it's ok plus never buy anything that doesn't have journals to see wat it can do

The cost of the "better" brand LED panels are too high for me? I am stuck in the Mars & Apollo range? The Canadian dollar (68 cents) plus shipping push the costs up.

From what I read..... A DIY Cree cob is better and more efficient and should pump out more quality light (par... What ever you wanna call it?)

Thanks for all the input guys. Keep firing me options..

Hey timbo I have a 96*3 mars reflector and just added one of the 300w to my space. And have had nothing but good results. My 300w was $62 shipped. And I am in same size space.

Unfortunately I can't find a Mars panel for that cheap? Anything I see in the USA is over double when I get it home...
So a Mars 300watt (not true w) is $175-$200

I can order the cobs and parts from Canada and shipping is cheaper (small and light).

Unless I am wrong and these DIY cob lights aren't as good as people say??? I am leaning towards building still.

Thanks for helping.. I only know CFLs so any help is great help!!

The Mars are nice and cheap!!!!
Thanks for answering!
Diy is nice but just don't let use them cxb3590 unless u can run them n keep cool cause if u run them soft it's like running a hemi at half hp cause it heats up but use more of like a cxb 3070 my homie did both and his number running the better cob soft lost out to the other cob witch won that battle in his testing I wish I felt comfy putting one together but electric scares me

Thanks Bro!

If you watch the 6 videos YouTube videos (growmau5)
It seems very doable?!?!? The holders take soldering out.

There is so much help on here! I plan on using the experts on here to help me!
