Alright so it's august and Temps can go from 60s to 90s in a couple days and I got 4 kids going right now and wanting to maybe start 2 more

With the instability in Temps and the need for meds and some recent money flow I can do 1 of 2 things until I can fire up the hid lights

1 get a small led to keep the early growth going good thinking mars reflector 96 model

Or get a 4ft 4 bulb or 4 ft 6 bulb t5 light

I guess my other thing is I'm thinking if I need to do an oh shit grow in the summer the led would grow 1 to 2 plants full through right? How well do leds do on seedlings?

Just trying to figure out this would be being used maybe for a month or so until it gets cold and I can run my hid lights so what would you guys do on a 150 to 200 dollar budget?

I am very happy with my 300w old model mars-hydro. I have two of the 3 watts and one of the 5w. You can pick them up cheap on ebay and amazon. I am sure the reflector series are great as well but you can buy two old models for the same price and cover a bigger foot print. I had heat problems as well and the LEDs help alot.

Was looking at them on amazon and it's cheaper to buy right from Mars I was looking at a 600 watt old model and it says it does 2.5 x 2 feet as to where the 96x3 reflector does 2x4 so at a 300? Watt draw so thinking that may be the best bet for me

I have two of the mars reflector series 96x3 in a 1.2x1.2m ( 4 foot x 4 foot) tent and it gives plenty of coverage with no heat issues at all, in fact I run the exhaust out from the bottom to try to pull some heat down to floor in the cooler months

i use 93x3 in a 2x4 cupboard.
is your space oblong or square ?
growing 3 plants a month apart.

I'm running a 5x5 foot tent but am looking at only one 96 for starting plants early or if I have to grow one or 2 plants mid summer I can do it durring the winter I run 2 600 watt hid lights cause it's cold as all heck

Like this week it's going to be in the 60s and next week we could see 97 a few days I got 4 plants going now that are not doing well under a 3 ft 2 bulb t5 light

So I'm looking at an led to try and keep them alive good until I can get them under hid lights

I recently bought 2 leds which i'll be firing up very soon. I bought a 300w dimmable 100X3w light from ebay(165 real draw) ledlightseller and I bought an old mars 100X3w (180real draw). In my small contained cabinet(54"longX18"deepX34"high) I was able to get heat under control pretty easily. For a bit less than $200US I got a pair of solid lights. Without the dimmable feature you could get two for $160-170 us.

Yeah I never have used ebay and it honestly seems like a scam Web site I know a lot of people use it but I don't feel comfortable doing so

I was going to get 2x 144 reflector lights from Mars for my whole tent but in the winter time I almost need to head of an hid so just an led to start under would be a good bet and I think the 96x3 reflector will do the job well

Now I need to get a good ph meter I got a brand new one but it bounces all over the place I can get close but I like being exact lol its the machinist in me I guess lol

I recently purchased an accurite8 it seems to work well. Its kind of expensive i paid like fifty bucks.Peace.
