Indoor Nelson's SOG, CFL, Bubbly tank grow.

Hi Muddy I use the most common of all the fertilizers More bloom 15-30-15. It seems to grow well and flower well. I was using a more expensive liquid 2 part fertilizer but didn't like the expense and didn't notice any increase in performance. You went to the AN line. How is that working for you?

I try to keep the ppm at about 750. It should be a little higher for bloom and a little lower for the babies but it seems to work for all the plants decently. I think maybe i would do a little better if I could change from veg to flwr with different stuff. But the perpetual for gms per sq. meter is the best I have ever had with the perpetual thing. Especially when you figure all the down time with the other styles.

I like the constant harvest and planting style. I see others are starting to do it also but I think I am the only one on this site. I have a friend with a herb greenhouse who does it this style. I learned my style from one of old timers in our breeders club he does it as well.

I am now flushing at the end. I just rip the plant out of the tank with whatever roots I get out of the tangle and throw the plant in a bucket of water and put it in the dark for two days. I really haven't noticed much difference to tell you the truth but now I can say I flushed it. It seems to make others happy. Whatever I say I was happy before and it isn't that much more work.

Must be getting pretty full in there by now. With so many plants of various ages, what nutrients are you using? Obviously you can't switch for veg and bloom running it that way.

I haven't been able to use the AN nutes yet. The pH of my rain water is over 9 and that's too high for them to automatically adjust the pH. I just got some spring water to test, but the electrode went on my meter. Had to order a new one this morning. If the spring water is still out of range, I'm going to test my neighbor's well water. If that doesn't work, then I'm stuck until I can get some RO. I have the filter but can't hook it up in my garage as I had originally planned without risk of it freezing. I'll probably put it in my new hydro area and if nothing else works, should be good to go then. In the mean time, I'm using up the GO nutes I currently have.

You're obviously getting good results from your nutrient routine. Sounds like you've struck a good balance that works for both veg and flowering. I haven't noticed much difference when flushing with the organic nutes, but did notice a big difference when using chemical ones. The taste is much less harsh and the cured weed burns cleaner.

Wow what are you drinking aluminum oxide and water. 9.0 is nuts. My well is usually 6.5 and creeps down a point or two with the spring runoff.

Yea I like the results I am getting with the 15-30-15. for both veg and flwr and it really grows roots way better than the custom 2 part stuff. I think it is the high middle number that does that.

I plant about 4 seeds a day into the jiffy pucks. About half turn out to be males. I will be real happy when I got about 6 different kinds of fems to plant.

I am not getting a lot of harshness from these nuits and they are definately not affecting the burn or the taiste to my snces anyway. Like I said I don't know if the rince is helping or not but other smokers of my pot like to know it has been rinsed and it is so big deal. I wonder if the dark period helps?

I have decided to take a break from posting. Maybe a month or so or maybe longer. I will check in from time to time to answer any PMs I get or to read some interesting stuff. If you have been following my grow please understand I can't continue with it as I need a break to work on my big interest which is home breeding. I am going to be spending my time concentrating on that. Good luck on your grows and my best wishes for success on your grows. Sincerely Nelson

Have a good break bro, and I look forward to your return. Hope you get the strain, you are looking for, perfected.

i also do hydro in chem nutes bro. i myself have been guilty of burning my no flushed weed. however, time permitting you should "flush" for a minimum of 4 days, and that's if you're using a flushing agent such as clear X. if you just use water...most suggest a 7 to 14 day flush...kinda hard for weed growers, unless you know your strain dead on. i flush 4 days while the plant is still intact, in a seperate tote with clear water and bubbling 24/7. i am sure that anyone who's bought hydro on the street, more than likely has smoked unflushed chem nuted weed. as a smoker myself...it makes me feel better, although it may not actually make a huge difference, by doing it. good growing to all.

Thanks to all of you fro your kind words. I am back posting. The females left in the tank are now starting to bud up and that is always a fun time as the countdown to finishing starts. I guess I should get my wife to shoot some new pictures of the tank. Hopefully I will have them up by mid week. A couple more babies were put in the tank today and I have a few more seeds started so by the end of the week the tank will have all her holes filled up. Someone is sending me some seeds to try for them so that will take care of the upcoming replacement s for the males that will show up from the second planting. What a cycle. I will be so glad when all the seeds I plant will be fems and the only males I ever see will be for when I want to breed with them. Other than that the males are just a pain in the all.
