new to autos, cloning?

Greetings all you wonderful people, great site. I was reading on another site (old school standard plants people) that autos can not be cloned. Lots of argumentation. Lots of opinions. Is this true? Will the clones simply mature at the same rate as the mother, therefore blooming at the same time?

Much appreciation for any words of wisdom.

I’m no expert but I know you can clone autos but I believe it’s not too benificial because of the stress on the plant you cloned from and autos are on a time schedule automatically so your clipping would have too much time to do it’s thing

In short, there's no benefit to cloning a true auto. I have watched people do it on here, and you just get a little plant that keeps right on flowering.

You cannot keep an auto mother for clone like you can a photo.

It’s just not the preferred to only pull a couple of grams of a little plant that’s all

It's not useful for growing bud because the cutting will produce less flower after it's cut than it would have if it'd stayed on the main plant.

I have cloned autos for breeding purposes before just to keep pollen out of my grow or to separate out different parents. Even then it wasn't worth the hassle compared to just being careful to pollinate 'on the vine' and keep everything clean.

You end up with a bunch of sad little canna boutonniere's that would barely make a couple of grams or a pinch of seeds.

Thanks Archaic. That makes complete sense. I guess I'll have to look for someone with pollen available. I'd like to get seeds at least once.

If, and I say if, I had attended prom I probably would have done that. Went to a basketball game one night as a senior and had tequila mixed into a bottle of orange pop. Sitting at the table in the cafeteria the school superintendent walked in and sat down across from me. I kept sipping while he congratulated me on finally showing up and showing some interest. lmao

Back when it was legal to smoke tobacco inside public places, we used to go to a coffee house- no not the Starbucks kind, and we would fill our brier pipes with non tobacco products and smoke away. When the pd officers that were security finally realized what we were doing, we got moved to the top of their *hit list.
