SEED: Northern Lights Blue Automatic ( fem) by Delicious
MEDIUM: Waterfarm - complete w/ hydroton and air pump (bought second pump for a round air-stone in the res)
LIGHT:18/6 - 100w BlackStar LED
TENT: 4ft tall 1.5 ft wide by 1.5 ft long
NUTES: GH Flora series ( micro,grow,bloom) & TechnaFlora recipie for sucsess kit

After a couple of some sucsessful grows in soil (3.4 gallon air pot) i decided to switch it up and this is my first hydro grow ever so im going to need any & all help by all means if you see ANYTHING AT ALL thats wrong, or something that can be improved upon, please feel free to tell me. i am here to learn and can take the heat so don't be shy.

I have looked around and done some research and decided to drill out the holes in the grow chamber to make them slightly larger for roots to pass through but obviously not two large went 1/4 inch mostly.
Also - i plan on using the lucas formula for starters hopefully to further be complimented by the TechnaFlora set of nutes if its alright to do so which i dont see why it wouldnt b. if it isnt say so please

I expect this to be turbulent to say the least so all those who are experienced and cringe at my grow i apologize in advance.

I put 1/8th strength flora grow mico and bloom i also added thrive alive b1 and a couple drops of root 66 she seems to be likin it its been theee days since i put it in a paper towel heres a few pics of my tent my seedling drip set up and my pumps with the fan as well has my hanna ph/tds combo meter with temp compinsation
Please tell me what you think needs improvement or what im doing wrong or not doing ect ect.

Oh yeah and my res temps right at 72*F should i keep my drip ring pump on 24/7 or just when the lights are on for my seedling??

So i woke up checked my ph and right off the bat its 6.6 when it was set to 5.7 yesterday. Why is this happening? I soaked the hydroton for about 14 hours in distilled water thought that would be enough? Any suggestions?
Ph is now back to 5.7 ppm is 370 gunna add plain phd water and level it back out at 335

DAY 4 ( since seed with a small taproot was put in dirt)

My ph keeps sky rocketing ill set it to 5.5 and it goes up a whole point in a days time to 6.5 this is going to be incredibly annoying if this keeps happening whats makeing this happen??? How do i over come it. Did a res flush and its still happening im running .5 ml of flora micro grow and bloom & @ 200ppm and tryyyying to keep the ph around 5.6

It has done pretty well actually but i haven't had the patience to let the buds really plump up and always chopped early up until this grow ofcourse im hoping to get my ph in check so i can get it really dialed in

So i drained a gallon of waterfarm and poured strait phed water in at 5.5 te res was at 5.7 afterword and refuses to stabilize any where in the 5s but i flooded the coco with the water and oulled the plant for a transplant into just pure hydroton and she took fine and is gettin bigger so far the reason i did this is because the leave tips were begining to burn and i wanted none of that and wasnt taking any risks on havin it be saturated in somethjg that was hurting it so so far since the its been doing fine besides the ph issue. Heres a look at her in the new home - please tell me what you think

Time for an update:group:

Alright so its been 7 days since this seed poped and this is how shes going
Ph - 5.8 but constantly rising (pain in my ass)
Ppm - 225
1.3 ml of flora grow micro and bloom
5ml root 66
Res temp 68.6*f
The stem is soooooooo thin on this seedling its scary the monent my res temps go up this thing flops over i came in today and they were up to 74 and she was laying on her side i immediatly turned the fan off propped he up with some fancy hydroton stacking, dropped an ice pack in the res and added some water and nutes to the reas which was previosuly just phd water after i changed it and flushed the hydroton again with phd water ( hardley helped)
What do you think? Why else would she lay down mid day??
