First time growing it, it does have haze in it. So perhaps more prone to foxtailing. I checked my PPFD again and I was in the higher range of around 800-900, so I turned my light down to see if this helps with the foxtailing, this could be a reason of stress. My indica dominant strain seems to be unaffected. I’ll raise my lights tomorrow, I have to move a shelf to do so.

Some strains naturally have the foxtail structure as you probably know. I grew some Pinky T autos from Proph that seemed to have that structure all on their own, mostly sativa hybrid. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, it just looks crazy! Most sativas do that in nature… build flower on top of flower. It doesn’t look aesthetically appealing to the general public but doesn’t affect the flavor or feel you get.

I was definitely too close to begin with anyway, so maybe this was just a sign of plans weren’t able to handle it. I did dial back the light knowing that it was too close, but I need to plant still don’t like it anyway. I’ll see if anything changes over the next few weeks. However maybe this means that the seeds were stressed induced and then I should keep them and try running them again

Oh man. I learned the hard-way what less than thorough tent inspections can do. Had a small tear in tent #2 and dry air came in and fried a few seedlings. Corrected the issue and now I know what to look for in the future, but wow that hurt my brain trying to identify the issue.

What’s funny is that my tent setup was great, other then being in my garage. Once the cold weather came in I had to move everything inside, and the location I placed it my tent wouldn’t fit. I had to rig something up but shelves were in the way. I thought I could get away with dimming the light but perhaps it was too close to begin with even with the dimmer settings.
I did see someone on reddit who just posted a finished canna-cheese and it does look like it has some foxtailing too, but his was stacking on a lot more flower by this time. Time will tell.

My cannacheese ended up herming and not growing any further so I’ll make it into some extracts.

My sourlivers x Alf5 is doing well, definitely not a keeper but it will be used for experiments with edibles. Very leafy, not a huge amount of frost etc. no major terps in this seed.

edit: I did practice spraying a clone with STS, I got a bunch of pollen and am growing out the clone just to see if the S1 seed process worked.

We had the February thaw this week here on the Niagara Frontier. Less than 12" of dirty snow left on the ground. This weekend it's going back down to single digits. I've been keeping the grow room at 60-70F because the RH in there has been 30-40% (trying not to go off the edge of the VPD chart).

hey guys , can't believe i missed this thread. i feel like i found my new home. i just finished reading the whole thread. kinda started speed reading as i wanted to get to the end. glad to meet all of you fellow NYers. i feel much better knowing there more of us on here. i've been little paranoid posting anything since it's only "decriminalized"(whatever that means) . but since lately i figure if i can walk in the local gas station or head shop and buy a weed. i can grow my own plants in my own home. now that my little rant is over i don't wanna anymore.

So i have been growing indoors for little over 1 year now and then also played with some autos outdoors at a buddies house before that. i've only grown autos. i've been experimenting a lot with growing mediums and have settled on a coco setup or CoM TLS setup.

looking forward to talking with you all. i think i meant i couple of you in other threads. Big thank you to @Jpkindbud for starting this thread. looks like some nice work to the rest of you too @BowHunt3r , @greeninNY , @Kreatnkaos , @Mara Cachafa , @OldSchool718 those are just the ones i remember its getting late and to many bong rips.

i just started a journal not much in there yet will be updating this weekend.
