Grow Mediums Oh No..BayLee420 Going Hydro

Just what @Rhyce Saroni said. His exact words.

I can only try to do the best I can..If it's not worth doing right; it's not worth doing at all.

All this and I haven't even started to do Hydro.

That's the difference. You're doing all the hard work now so the actual grow will go smoothly.
Too many do the opposite and chase their tails during the grow because they took shortcuts before.

When getting any project started..either it's in the kitchen or setting up a catering event for 100 plus; it's very important to Mis en place. French for "Everything in place". In the USN it was "Get ready..Get Set..Go. These are words and deeds I live by every single day. People ask how I do an event w/o flipping out (as many see on cooking shows). It's very easy...Mis en place.

Note: Any cook that works for me and has the attitude of the jerks on cooking shows...is FIRED. I do not to tolerate that in my kitchen.

With you on that. However, I am posting the DYI DWC/Top Feed set up so others who have the space to do a 6 hole net pot can see how it can be constructed.

I've searched the web for a DYI DWC/Top Feed instructions on how to build one. Besides the Grow Weed Easy DWC/Top Feed build; there really isn't any. When I search YouTube for DWC/Top Feed DYI...there are some DYI's, but not really anything that warrants as good.

When anyone Googles DYI DWC/Top Feed...they will be directed to this AFN thread.

Actually this is a DYI DWC/Top Feed that would not be possible w/o the help of all you chiming in. :thanks:

Exactly...if the SuperPonic was up to snuff and all that it was advertised as (10 gallon as to the actual 3 gallons) then there would be really no rush to build a decent set up. After listening to all the great advise here. I had to do a DYI. The SuperPonic is just not going to cover it. Not going to waste time with a shitty set up when I can get my DYI running and have a good grow. Too many or possible issues with the 3 gallon SuperPonic. Why would I put myself through 10 weeks of "testing" if the SuperPonic will be of any use; when I know now that it's not up to my standard of growing.

Disclaimer: I never even opened the SuperPonic box until I decided to do the Hydro Grow. It's been in my Den's closet for four years. It came as a package deal with the small SuperBox. It is advertised as a 10 gallon reservoir, but in fact it is only 3 gallons. If I had decided to do Hydro from the start of my AFN journey. Then this DYI DWC/Top Feed would of been built four years ago.

The new air pump.

6 outlet and a bit overkill on the L/min at 45. This should give me plenty of oxygenated bubbles.

I looked into the Hailea Air Pumps, the only site that had them was Amazon UK. I am not sure if the sell in the USA, because the Hailea website would not come up. Even Granger didn't list them.
