MaryJane16 signing on for a proper education from anyone willing to help. I have nearly everything I need to begin DWC and have spent a huge amount of hours researching. Anybody got advice on which seeds to start with? Whether or not its really safe to order seeds with my debit card. My state is working on legalizing but not even close

Welcome MaryJane. I have used my debit card lots of times to buy seeds. As far as what kind of seeds...Dutch Passion and Mephisto are both really great. Do you want to grow a sativa or indica? Or hybrid? I grow in soil so I can't help on the DWC but there are plenty of experts here to help with that.

Thanks MediJ, I think I'll stick with hybrids with a lean towards indica. Good to hear that its safe to use a debit card as sending cash seems kind of risky. I had no idea this hobby was so expensive to get into. I'm up to $900 without seed LOL

Hi there MaryJane, and welcome to the net. I've also used my debit card a few times for payment with no issues. The first time was a bit nerve wracking, but after that is was smooth sailing. Good luck on picking your strains. I normally start my list with about 40 I want, before getting it down to 1-2 lol. Mephisto has some really good grows logged here, and Dutch passion just came out with a new auto selection that looks pretty tasty. I got my eye on the Colorado Cookies. Hello and welcome. Id also highly recommend mephisto seeds, excellent customer service, great prices and quick shipping and ive grown 8 strains and been disappointed by none of them. And while i feel your pain with initial startup costs, i think you will find in the long run it is a quite cost effective means of supplying yourself with top quality stuff and hopefully have fun doing so!

Hi Mj, glad you found AFN, and that you decided to grow your own. I know nothing about dwc but anything I can do to help just let me know. No one has steered you wrong with seed choice, there's alot of awesome strains and seedbank to choose from. If you think setup costs are high, wait till you get addicted to buying seeds lol, anyways welcome to AFN.
