are you special?
hi,have been growing in a cupboard for about a year.50x60x200cm prakasa 120w led,bio bizz nutes.normally plant a new seed each month,so would have 2 plants sometimes a baby 3rd on the go at all times.
have tried various soils(3 types, and combinations of all 3) and seeds maybe 8-10 varieties from 4 or 5 seed banks.i do know 1st run i watterd a little too much 2nd run too little water.3rd run too much nutes 4th too little nutes.
ph,heat, ventilation, pots etc. i feel are ok.
i must be on about my 12th run now,but the underlaying issue is size,i struggle to get over 18" height and not that many side branches.
i am one to do my homework have read complete mmj books, availed of the usual suspects advice/opinions to other newbies and not so newbie afn ers and like to discover/figure things out for myself.watched countless youtube vids.
im on other non mmj forums, and find myself screaming at the screen "use the search function" quite often because of the usual dumbass repetitive questions.
but looks like im the dumbass today.
so here goes.what is or could be the cause of my small/slow growth ?
i dont believe they have all been stunted.they all just end up on the small side 12-18" with maybe 4 or so side branches with no noticable deficiences of any kind.
have i been plauged with a brown thumb, rather than green fingers like the rest of you guys ?
thanks in advance.

ur light may be weak i.e not putting out full 120w not sure how u would check that tho

hi and thanks for reply.
i could fill out the big long form listing all my stuff and faults with pics etc.but after reading many and the replies, same as with pics.my plants look reasonably healthy,no issues.kit and methods im using are run of the mill, nothing out of the ordinary.
3 gals black and deep.no nasty smell or look to the roots, definately not rootbound.roots loook pretty much like the topside of plant (small)

what strains are you running some autos will only get that big all depends on strain ???

the light is posibble i supose.i did use a mates prakasa 120w for about 3 months,he used it for 6 months and got good results, then i got my own prakasa a year after my mates.and from a different vendor.dont think it could have been a bad lot, sold a year apart from seperate vendors.i had originally doubted the led as not that many reports about them.but i think it could be "steelrat" that has used prakasa 120w i only wish i had half the results they have had.

00 cheeseberry/00 choc skunk/advanced biodiesel skunk mass/dinofem amnesia/sweet seeds sweet skunk.to name a few all average height plants i believe,a few others that i cant remember the names of.but i know i would have stayed away from small/dwarf sized.
thanks agian for help and pointers.

Archie,
Yup, Steely and I both use the Prakasa 120w jobbie. No problem with the unit as far as I am concerned. I got mine from 'GrowLightsLED.co.uk' .

My ex would have been over the moon with 18 inches but from your point of view I can see that's disappointing. More so because of the few side branches. That I don't understand. Ok a plant may be a bit on the bonsai side, but should still throw loads of side shoots.
Would anyone care to comment on the pot size? Is a 3 gal too big for a soil mix????

Best of luck mate, eP.

strains sound good archie def not bonsai strains are you planting seeds into final pots or transplanting / potting them up could be from possible transplant shock ??? the lack of side branches is a strange one i am unsure what could cause that apart from insufficient light

:High Team Help..:

Its all about the numbers!

Do you measure your EC PH?
What water do you use?
Keep your feeding simple but use the correct ph and ec everytime!

What is the humidity and temperature ( lights on/off)( do you use a tent?)
Are the genetics ok, some auto just don't get bigger than small bonsai trees!

Do you use clean earth every grow, (the most important in the beginning is development of the roots!)
Never cut healthy leaves!

I recommend you use airpots growing autos under led!
Are you sure your led light is a non counterfeit?

How much do you yield now on average from a plant growing a full circle under the leds. If you put to much plants under one small light, the outcome will be that none of them reach their full potential!

Its better to get an even canopy and not much height of your plants because the limited penetration power of leds!
More light= more buds
