That's why I never heard of it its used in hydro I grow. Organic but I am always looking for new methods and experimental grow techniques I would stay away from baking soda though

I will stay away too... because baking soda has aluminium inside(thats wy is toxic) but it is quick solution untill monday, to find dolomite lime

Either plain old garden lime or Dolamite lime works. I use a granulated garden lime that dissolves very easily in water. The one kind of lime you MUST stay away from is hydraulic lime. It's used in construction applications like mortar. When you add water to hydraulic lime, the stuff heats up immediately. I'm pretty sure it would kill your plants in nothing flat.
