Commercial vs. Me

Okay, so here a few shots of my buddy's commercial crop. In your honest opinion, how does mine stack-up? Which would you prefer? Which one looks better?

Basically, just on what you can tell by appearance, can I even compete?

First two are his, last two are mine. Be brutally honest, now.

A great hobby that costs a little bit in electricity and nutes but provides you with free smoke.
The proof is always in the pudding - and that is "how is the smoke and high?"

I've had friends that rock an aweful lot of light in some serious sized tents - but at the end of the grow, they need to cover the costs. That means possibly attracting unwanted attention from unsavories >.< -- eugh the hassle of unwanted visitors!

Then there's the woe of what if the "commercial" didn't turn out so good - what then? Commercial Disaster ^_^
If my grows go tits up, I'll berate myself for a while - and then hit the books (or moan to better growers lol) - but I'll smoke it all - and i will have saved a fortune.

So in summary - I think your weed looks sweet Pharmacy! Gonna be tasty! (keep it stashed away for your pleasure!! ^_^)

Okay, gonna do one last photo update before she enter a 48 hour blackout period (hope this doesn't negatively effect my SAD and my little clone, I figure my SAD needs a little bloom signaling boost, anyways). Light come back on at 6:30ish and I shall return with some good pics!

I was surprised to find that my commercial buddy know very little about growing. He said that there is a guy who tells him what to do and he does it. When I try to talk to him about specifics, it is like I am speaking another language. Doesn't even have the faintest idea of what NPK values are. When I asked about the yield on the Fire OG, he simply said "great", so I inquired again and he said "bro, it was great all around, my favorite so far", no measurements or anything. I always thought that commercial growers were more meticulous than us hobby growers and that they had to be experts on the subject. I'm finding the reverse to be true. Like most hobby growers know not to directly mix nutes because of potential chemical reaction, like calcium and phosphorus bonding, the commercial guys i know only seem to know that 'A' and 'B' go in one at a time because that's what it says on the bottle.
